Fuck these types social standards. That type of behavior is a bad standard to have, it's controlling and abusive and makes people feel guilty or even having the slightest thought that another human maybe physically attractive.

It is fucking unhealthy, and so many people excuse it because it's standard. That is the root of jealousy and abuse, if your partner doesn't like the fact that you are going to recognize that other humans other then them are physically attractive but that your feelings for them as a person go beyond physical attraction is not enough for them, to the point were the shame you for the slightest fleeting thought or glance or worse straight up hit you for it.

Then they don't deserve to be your partner, or likely anyone's partner til they grow the fuck up.

That is not a social standard, that is culture of jealousy and abuse.

No, that's basic human interaction. As a pair-bonding species, we can't just go ogling any female who happens to saunter by in short shorts. Real life doesn't work that way.

Should Faye have slapped him? No, but she has pretty major trust issues, which he knows about. I can't blame Angus, since if I was caught off guard by surprise short shorts, I'd probably do the same thing, but to say that he did absolutely nothing wrong shows a lack of understanding about basic social acceptability.

I know plenty of people in committed relationships that are perfectly happy and willing to recognize that other people are attractive but their love of each other is stronger then that, so don't fucking shame each other for happening to glace at another person ass, or watch porn or commenting that another women or man is hot.

Real life doesn't work that way, my ass!

Fuck those standards for social acceptability if that's what the considered social acceptability then I don't want any part of be accepted by that part of our society! Lucky I don't have to ATM as I've already found people aren't like that both monogamous people and polyamorous people.

Love how one gag makes someone go on a whole evo psych rant about how everyone should live polyamorously or something.

people on TVT are way more serious than elsewhere on the internet, so the "even here" qualifier isn't particularly useful.

People have opinions here and they seem to especially boil up in romantic-comedy webcomics. This may be because we read Unfortunate Implications that may not be apparent to a webcomic author.

As much as I'd like to see Jeph try and top that, I don't think he'll go for it. I'm betting either a cliche She Cleans Up Nicely with a bikini (which is still very unlikely in itself) or a normalish one-piece which makes her curves MUCH more pronounced.

And so it turned out that the entire series was just setting up the meat for a slasher plot.
