Amagami SS

General thread for Amagami SS.

So, Sex Hair's Kaoru's arc has begun. She's actually a really likable tsundere for some reason. I don't know if it's just the great voice work by Rina Satou, or how she's just beginning to realize her feelings for Junichi, but she's a really intriguing character.

Regarding Haruka's arc, I think they really set the bar high for themselves there, so I look forward as to how they'll continue Kaoru's.

They need to start Ayatsuji's arc already, one of the few characters i am unashamedly Fan Boy for.

But i like Kaoru too, Tsundere done right is always cute.

Edit: Oh, and the next episode has Stomach kissing, by the looks of it.

First, the back of Haruka's knee, and now Sex Hair's stomach? Junichi really is 4chan's Audience Surrogate.

As for Ayatsuji, I did some research and I am quite excited to see her bitchrep side.

If the spinoffs are anything to go by, She's just mean enough to invoke the sexy part of Yandere, while being Dere Dere enough to be really cute.

It works. Very well.

Fuck, I wanna see that. Personally, I think she's the cutest girl among the cast (Haruka holds Cool Big Sis and Kaoru holds awesome tsundere).

Although I might need to take a look at Ai when it's her turn, and then there's dojikko Rihoko and Miya's friend.

Speaking of Miya, siscon anyone?

Hm, Miya is an odd case in the anime so far, she's obviously jealous of... Princess Curls girl, but doesn't seem to be jealous of Kaoru.

That's because she probably has known about Sex Hair for a while now, since they've been friends for the past three years.

I'll actually recommend you go read the manga spinoffs when you get a Chance Mapi, the art is great and there's a lot of WAFF, and i was geniunly surpised at some of the implied goings on.

Though i don't know where you'd find them since Mangatoshokan got taken down.

I'll try looking for them, since I've taken a serious liking to this series.

I usually like Tsundere characters, but their stupid denial thing is annoying, so I really enjoyed how Kaoru just looked at herself and understood it in her first episode.

Anyway, I found three manga spinoffs:

• Amagami: Sincerely Yours, which appears to star Ayatsuji.
• Amagami: Precious Diary
• Amagami: Love Goes On!

Shinonome Amagami also stars Ayatsuji, and is the one that got me into the series initially.

Goes to show i really should rely on Google more when recommending things...

This show is remarkably good.

Haven't gotten to try latest ep. though, will tomorrow, probably (or tonight, not sure)

I was wary about the next girl being a step down from Haruka, but I needn't have worried. Kaoru's awesome, and we're already getting some kinky foreplay and roleplay in her very first episode. (Also, Junichi still has his thigh fetish going on.)

I have a suspicion we'll be getting the arcs in the order the girls first appear in the OP, so that would be... Haruka, Kaoru, Sae, Ai, Rihoko, and Ayatsuji kept for last.

I can only hope we'll also get plenty of Umehara in this arc. He's got awesome comedic chemistry with our two leads, from what little we've seen so far.

I hope that's the order, so we can save the best for last. :D

^ I'm torn on that, I agree, but if i feel like it's just build up for the last Arc it could spoil the show for me a bit.

That just makes me wish I hadn't found out about this series until it was over, so I could just watch them all in one sitting. *waiting for the Rihoko arc*

Oh my sweet Lord. Just when I'd thought the Haruka arc was too short, they hand us a cast-iron, bona fide Tsundere. With that hair. Its like they can see into my mind.

Eclipse just released subs for episode 5. (Nevermind that I already have the raws for it. )

Golly, I haven't been this excited over a new episode since Clannad.

Aw, this show is so sweet. Also sexy.

UTW is also a really great sub group too, IMO, so I grabbed theirs out of impatience.

^^^ A really likable tsundere, might I add. Unlike others which spend entire half-seasons in denial (looking at you right there Taiga), Kaoru already accepts the fact that she likes Junichi, albeit with an OH SHI- expression.

Binged up to the latest scanned chapter of Shinonome Amagami. Yeah, I'm a hopeless Tsukasa fan now.

Just curious, how is the game itself tonewise and timewise? I'm considering looking into that.

Wouldn't know, as AFAIK the game isn't translated.
