I would buy it if it turns out good.
However there need to be three DLC characters. Vile, Axl, and Green Biker Dude.
Green... biker... dude? You mean the guy that dies in the beginning of X2?
Never forget GBD's radical sacrifice. He died in the most awesome way possible. Barring being eaten by shark made of lasers.
Bleye knows Sabers.Mkay...
So yeah. MMX 9. SNES style. Mega Man and Zero. Axl and Vile as DLC. Vile replaces all ride armor with his. Not sure where to go with the plot, but they could be creative, I'm sure. There's got to be one creative person left in Capcom. Somewhere.
Yes that's who i mean. It's an internet meme.
An internet meme I was unaware of. I only knew who you were talking about because I've played Mega Man X2 more times than I'd like to recount.
If I could, I would set up my own game studio and create my own Mega Man game.
That is just a dream though.
I'm pretty sure it was this place that made me aware of the Green biker dude meme.
What's really crazy is a I read an X2 novelization that actually made gave him some characterization before he got himself killed.
I should look that up sometime.
One Strip! One Strip!I knew of the GBD meme through Bob and George.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987I've been playing Mega Man A Day In The Limelight.
How is this that good? Sure, the concept is cool, but the execution is poor. The levels are excessively difficult (unless you've basically mastered Mega Man 2), and there's way too many things that depend on either lucky reflexes or experience, and so many of these traps are done as instant-death traps rather than setback or damage traps—especially in Fire Man's stage (Air Man).
And then there's Guts Man's stage (Crash Man), which is just far too hard to be enjoyable.
I appreciate some of the neat concepts built into it, such as the lava fountains in Ice Man's stage (Heat Man), and using electricity to activate switches in Elec Man's stage (Heat Man), but...
And why can't those can-column enemies in Elec Man's stage (Metal Man) be killed instead of bouncing up stupidly like that?

I'm a huge fan of that game.
They let you turn on infinite lives in the options. You'll probably want to do that... I did.
Bleye knows Sabers.Oh, that would help, a little. Still doesn't make the platforming any easier.
Okay, infinite lives DOES make it far more tolerable, since you can actually now practice the bosses.
X6 Green biker dude was on Bob And George?
I've read all of Bob And George and I don't remember it being mentioned there.
One Strip! One Strip! To be specific, it was from a spin-off comic done by one of the site's MM fans. Can't remember what his name was...
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987And I've now beaten Mega Man A Day In The Limelight.
With infinite lives it was much more tolerable. Since it's basically like Ys level of difficulty, it really needs infinite retries.

>Accuses Only Sane Man of fanboyism or trolling, then says they're not whining.
>Thread is devoted to bashing a game that isn't even out yet, including the one who says the game won't play out the real fanboys say it will saying that Megaman is dead *big gasp* FOREVEEEEER!!!!11
Seems legit.

Beware of occasional bad attitude. I do Fanfics on deviantART. Witness me make a mockery out of myself there, too.Problem is your not the only Sane Man. We are bashing the game because it looks horrible did you play the flash game.
You look happy, I can change that if you want.I'm interested in at least trying X Over, but I don't have an iOS and don't really want one. =\
The Protomen enhanced my life.Come to think of it, I think what Capcom should do with this franchise is something akin to what fans have been doing: expand the classic series with fresh ideas.
The success of MM 9 and MM 10 showed that people still like that sort of game. That said, having endless sequels all of that same sort will tire fans out eventually.
But, let's look at the sort of fangame premises that have seen a fair bit of success:
- what if Roll were the action hero? / gender-flip Mega Man in an alternate universe
- or in general, alternate canon/timeline ideas
- playing as the robot masters (kinda done in MMPU) or as mooks
- new gameplay devices (e.g. freezing fountains of lava)
- more creative use of special weapons, or ways to use them
One idea that I actually haven't yet seen, but I think would be perfect for the Mega Man idea of copying enemy powers, is a metroidvania game that uses special weapons to grant access to new areas.

You know, I think I'd throw money at Capcom for a SNES style Mega Man X9...
Have Mega Man and Zero playable. Make Axl and Vile DLC for that extra money push.
It would work.
