In which we get updates from the lives of tropers. Kinda like Twitter with more than 140 characters, but less than a blog or LJ.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.

I accidentally set my alarm an hour too early, got ready, and left at ten past the hour like I normally do without realizing my mistake. And now I'm at school an hour early
Better than being an hour late. At least if you've got something to kill time with.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...I actually got to get a lot of work done with my extra hour. I'm frickin exhausted though

I just finished watching Jessica Jones. I liked it, but since learning that a second season has been ordered, it makes me wonder what they could possibly do.
A big part of what made the show work was its main conflict: the villain Kilgrave mindcontrolling people to do what he wants, making him a massive and tricky threat to deal with. The show was as good as its hero, villain, and central conflict. I just can't imagine them coming up with a second central conflict as good as the first one.
I'm up for joining Discord servers! PM me if you know any good ones!Well, I reviewed Jessica Jones. It's my 250th review.
I'm up for joining Discord servers! PM me if you know any good ones!Yuck. Killing time at the library and the station next to me is a conspiracy theorist piloting another guy on the computer. "Putin knows all about Nibru. He's gonna tell the world soon. NASA lies. You don't mess with Russia, Russians will destroy everything."
Fresh-eyed movie blogMy dad broke my favorite coffee mug. >.<
I like to keep my audience riveted. Finally finished renovating my room last night.
Had the best sleep of my life.
Cailleach, arriving to work or school an hour early means you get to treat yourself to breakfast. At least, that's the rule in my world. ^_^
Anyway. WE GOT THE CORGI. Turns out Ms. Corgi, whose name is now Momo, is a rescue from a puppy mill. She is three years old, obese (37lbs. when a healthy female corgi weighs 20-29lbs.), and has NO IDEA how to be a dog. She's not housebroken. She doesn't know basic commands. She's utterly puzzled by my terrier's attempts to play. She doesn't understand dog beds; she sniffs them and sleeps on the floor. She still does that puppy thing where she puts a person's hand in her mouth instead of licking. She does not, as my profile pic shows, know the difference between shoes and dog toys.
We have so much work to do. So much training and dogproofing. But she is such a sweetheart, and she's ridiculously cute.
@Cail: I always arrive at campus at least an hour early. Since I'm a 2nd semester student, I use it to loaf around on This Very Wiki and/or do homework.
↳ Redirecting to Mvfl G.Funny I wouldn't drink anything in the party. This was last evening. Everyone was familiar (at least familiar enough) to me and almost everyone else drank something and in a few hours they were pretty merry and drunk.
One guy suspected people of "stealing" (read: drinking) half of his vodka and was slightly protective over one little bottle for a while. Some could have completely civil disagreements while drunk (not sure if that's an accomplishment, but I dig!). If only I could say the same of everyone. Upon hearing more and more of some drunken quarreling I started losing interest and left.
To the best of my after-knowledge no one's gotten hurt(except perhaps some feelings? Hopefully not. I'd hate to have too much of that in a close circle). At least these people can still stay safe.
It may seem like that to you. I'm sure if you'd been there like I was, it would've seemed different. You're talking about the guy guarding his vodka bottle, right? I find him fun company. He made a few casual statements that I just took as random drunk expressions. We just joked around like we usually do. And I don't think it was the matter of him going around and provoking people, if that's what you got. Rather it must been some disagreements or confusions between several of them that got a bit out of hand. Sounded more like exchanges of words from many different people that ended up getting a little too heated. All's well.

That one guy can't drink. Is he as much of an asshole while sober?
Puppy mill. That explains everything.
Also, I managed to fish out a hex wrench out of the vacuum cleaner's motorized brush. That, and my back hurts.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisI have some good news. I took up tai chi a while ago, and I think it's really working. I was in the car for a ridiculous amount of time yesterday, and my back didn't hurt once. :)
I like to keep my audience riveted.YES. I keep going back and forth between being glad that sweet Momo is in our house where she gets to enjoy being a dog, and being absolutely furious that anyone would think it's okay to keep a freaking CORGI—or any other dog—in a tiny cage 24/7! She's already coming out of her shell a bit, and she now knows that the rope and the frisbee are her toys.
Heck yes, back pain relief. :D I have neck pain and tension headaches, and have been neglecting my physical therapy. My neck and my head are complaining about that.
Our corgi was from a decent breeder, but she didn't understand what to do with her stuffed hedgehog for a few weeks.
The thread I opened just before this one had a giant panda cub photo in it, and now I'm wondering if it would be possible to raise a baby red panda with a litter of corgis.
Fresh-eyed movie blogThe number of days I have left until I publish my book is a magic number: 108.
I like to keep my audience riveted.Oh boy! Will it be in, like, Amazon or something?
↳ Redirecting to Mvfl G.Yes. Though lulu.com will be the better choice. The ones that got onto Amazon are outrageously expensive for some reason. >.<

I like to keep my audience riveted. In less than two weeks, my twin brother will find out where he's going for his medical residency. I've taken the week off so that I can lose my entire freakin mind. No matter what, he will not be staying in-state.
I'm having all the feels. I'm glad he's about to graduate medical school, I'm proud of him, I know that wherever he ends up will be lucky to have him, I'm excited to visit him, I'll miss him, I'll miss his husband...and I'm kinda mad, too. Not gonna lie. The selfish part of me wants to keep my brother and my best friend (his husband) here with me.
Messed up my mom's car last night be going over a roundabout full of rocks and shrubs. Fully believe that God protected me from bodily harm by making sure I didn't hit a tree or larger rock.
Blog linkI may be going to Missouri some time in the next few weeks.
I like to keep my audience riveted.I messed up my part of a Philosophy presentation because I chose to play Dishonored rather than preparing for it.
I need a drink.

My debut album, Tribute to Tokyo, has finally completed. Just a little bit touch ups on a few bonus files and it's ready for sale in Bandcamp on April 30. I'll link a cross-fade demo when the time comes.
It's March now, I have nine more months to go before my overseas tour is completed. Oh God.
I might be adopting a corgi!! Myself, my partner, and our senior Jack Russell Terrier mix will be meeting Ms. Corgi on Wednesday. Also, I just found out (like five minutes ago) that one of my favorite coworkers from my last job lives a few blocks away from me. In sadder news, I have two flat tires. I'll have to get them fixed before I drive home from work. I'll be losing sleep and money...
