In which we get updates from the lives of tropers. Kinda like Twitter with more than 140 characters, but less than a blog or LJ.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.

Jones: Is that a city?
I've only just started using Writer's Block. I don't know why I haven't gone there, before.
This is a signature.I think I've found the best writing.
dead devotionFor some reason, I want to write a story for children...that would traumatize them.
I wonder how I can make a villain who shows traits of serial killer/rapist in a PG level.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.>serial killer/rapist
>PG
I'm not sure this is really possible.
dead devotionOh, there are ways to do that.
This is a signature. You want to be the next Don Bluth?

I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue.Maybe, yes. But with more commercial success.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. You just have to throw out tiny hints, without directly describing the character in that manner.
This is a signature.Yeah, that's the plan I'm thinking. It would take a lot of subtlety and research, but hey, what's an author if he is afraid to get his nose dirty in researching?
I mean....traumatizing an entire generation of kids (that doesn't involve any strictly illegal means)! That would be fun, no?
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. So basically, you want to write Bambi.
Oh, Bambi, how you traumatized me. And I LOVE you for it.
Kind of like that, yeah, only more.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. So close to getting Medicaid I can taste it. It would be such a relief for my parents for me to get it.
Kids, this is what happens when you are about to fall off your parents medical insurance. I would not recommend getting to that point.
Blog linkI've got it worse. I turn 26 on August 31. I got my healthcare marketplace application done on Aug 21. I'm also in the process of working out a move across the country, so my last day of employment is Aug 27, I don't know when I'll be working again, and I was planning on leaving the state on Sept 1, but the apartment I was able to get isn't available until Oct 21, so I want to get temporary housing in the same town but I don't know when I'll be able to get it yet...
Do not plan a major life change for the same birthday as when you lose your parents' insurance.

Fresh-eyed movie blog@ Parable: Allegedly, yes, though most Aberdonians tend to think of it as a large and fairly permanent encampment of orcs or similar. It's also where Rockstar Games come from.
It was once invaded by undead unicorns, you know.

'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'Those who trade oil sometimes compare it to Barad-dûr with many camps around it. The rest of Scotland in comparison is The Shire.
"Did you expect somebody else?"Learning Python. I must say, points for originality: this is the first language I've used where my code indentation is part of the program. Annoying as hell though.
& Huh. ._.
And the pictures make it look so pretty.
That's because those pictures don't show the bits where people live.
'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'I am planning on spending my entire week playing the vidyas.
Also, my mum got her first paycheck for her new job, so I can let loose a little with the DLA, hell yeah.
I'm so despicable, heh
My station have been nominated for the Ice Bucket wotsit. Hmmm.
'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'Plenty of cold water all around!
Python's special features so far give me an impression of "neat, even if they're a bad idea in real applications".
You didn't miss much. It was kinda meh.
Edit: assuming you were talking about yesterday
