Whilst I can agree that having people in power for that long makes me inherently uncomfortable, I can't deny that he seems to be doing a good job.

/shrug/ Considering that 80+ of the 110 years between 1896 and 2006 had Liberal governments, Canadians have slightly odd perceptions of long-serving governments.

I just made a fool of myself counting in base -2. My brother was teaching me, and we got up to how to represent 5. I was trying to work out "16, -8, -2, oh, there's also got to be a 1..." and he was smirking far too much. "Tel", said he. "It's 4 and 1."

I just had a cookie!

I just ate couple cupcakes, on which I had put the frosting on myself. Didn't actually make the actual cupcakes, because that would have required actual work. Was pretty good though.

The soup is okay. It tastes a bit earthy but that's because these potatoes are on their way out. Good thing I used them really.

Damn, do I love potatoes. Those things are so tasty.

They are indeed a fine vegetable.

The potatoes are usually the only thing I'll eat in most soups.
