Great movie, but I have it on DVD, what's the point?
no one will notice that I changed thisgoing to see it in the theater!
I do own it on dvd, but nothing beats the silver screen! My "home cinema" has neither the screen size, nor the audio capabilities.
On the upside for home watching, though, your home theater doesn't have cinemuck, and you can dopeslap any asshole present who starts chatting on their phone in the middle of the movie.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpI went to see it in the theatre (U.K. Release) and I loved it. Hearing the Delorean noises on the big screen was excellent :D
My Blog: Read and enjoy! My Blogcritics PageWe need a fourth Back to the Future. Yeah, I said it.
I already lost Jurassic Park to the fact that velociraptors were tiny and had feathers. I can't let the lack of flying cars in 2015 ruin BttF for me, too.

just for two nights...
"Whoa, whoa, WHOA! BTTF is back in theaters?"
You'd think they'd advertise this on TV... but, they didn't.

With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationWe still have five years! There's still time! NEVER LOSE HOPE!!!
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.And the flying cars can be in an alternate reality! The Doc and Marty changed things, and now they need to go back to their future to give everybody flying cars!

ophelia, you're breaking my heartAnyone else find it difficult to rewatch the films, particularly the second one.
When Doc Brown went on his "I didn't invent time travel for financial gain" rant I ended up swearing at him and turning the telly off.
I mean, why the hell would you invent time travel if it wasn't for financial gain?
Go watch Primer and you'll see why.
I'm a skeptical squirrelTo learn about history most likely. It would also be a great way of settling certain arguments.
Because Doc is a textbook case of For Science! He invented the time machine purely for academic value.
Yeah, because every scientist who conducts groundbreaking researches is just doing it by financial gain. You clearly have no idea how people work.
Uh, that's pretty much the underlying reason behind most advancements and discoveries, they want to get some money for being really smart.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatI grew up watching the original movie constantly on video. But that's my point, I grew up with the movie one-on-one—not in the company of strangers in a dark room (and certainly not with people who have already seen it dozens of times over by now, as opposed to the usual crowd for a new release that wouldn't already know entirely what to expect).
It's just not how I know the movie, and it's not how I would like to experience it.
Y'know I feel like someone somewhere should hold a convention for these movies (annually?), and the primary event in it would be all three movies being shown at once in a theater setting.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. It's worth mentioning that the premiere reception for Bttf was HUGE. It's a crowd-pleasing movie.
I don't see why it's so different from seeing Episode One or Singin' in the Rain in theaters decades after the fact. Fans will go, more casual types won't.
I'm a skeptical squirrelIndeed. Even if you miss the era specific references it's still a good movie.
I'd probably rate Back To The Future as one of the best films if the year no matter which year it came out in.
Funny though, while I'd be psyched for a new instalment, I can't help but imagine a new version being some horrific thing directed by Michael Bay where some annoying and unironically arrogant kid played by Shia what's-his-name is the star.
I don't desire a remake... but wouldn't it be a kick if the present-day hero had to go back in time to the eighties?
Has a nice symmetry to it.
I'm a skeptical squirrel
I bought tickets to see it on the big-screen! Anyone else going to see it in theaters?
Or is everyone else here have the attitude, "I have it on DVD, what's the point?"
