That's pointless pedantry. It matters not to Capcom what currency their revenue is in.
Part of me kinda wishes that rumor about Capcom going bankrupt or whatever was true. Then Platinum could get DMC and Nintendo or Keiji Inafune's group could get Mega Man.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I don't know about you... but if I were running a company in my home country of Brazil, with several Brazillian investors hoping that I would bring back all the money they gave to me, I would be hoping more for Brazillian Reais, not for American Dollars, or Japanese Yens for that matter.
I don't know about Capcom as a whole, but I imagine it would be the same for, at least, the CEO.
And come on... you don't think everything would wrap up that nicely do you? Kamiya is not gonna buy DMC back when Platinum is still trying to make a decent ground for themselves, especially when they already have a almost perfect substitute for it in Bayonetta.
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!And yet, last year on his Twitter, Kamiya said that he's ready and willing to do DMC5 and is just waiting on Capcom to let him.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I never said he wouldn't work on one, just that he is not likely to buy the IP.
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!We can hope. Personally, I don't accept Bayonetta as a perfect substitute for DMC the way a lot of people seem to.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Hence why I said "almost".
Plus, it is gonna take a long time for Bayo to pull the sheer number of sales a new DMC game would bring.
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!It won't ever though for several reasons.
I'd be kind of worried if Kamiya did do the next DMC to be honest. I don't know if he would retcon out 2-4 and get rid of anyone not Dante or Trish or revamp vergil in some way. Or if he'd make it more like Bayonetta. The series really only seemed to gain it's true identity with 3 and 4.

Honestly, I think Itsuno and his team were doing a damn good job with 3 and 4. While it would be nice to have Kamiya return, it's clear he's moved on with his own works at Platinum.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...to be honest i really don't care what happens to dmc anymore since i enjoy bayonetta more than any dmc as it is. in fact i don't really care much about capcom period anymore. the only relevant things they've done in the last few years, to me, are dragon's dogma and asura's wrath (neither of which i've actually played, but thats not the point).
with that said i'm sure capcom could still make a decent action game even now. kamiya wasn't involved in 3 but it's my favorite dmc, so they don't really *need* him. there was really no need to give Dm C to a western developer, especially one that wasn't particularly renowned for making good action games.

I think I've finally figured out why Dante is so un-Dante in DMC2. Before he went to wherever the game takes place, he ate way too much pizza so, for the entire game, he was trying not to throw up. He came up with the coin thing on the spot in order to try and compensate for the lack of jokes and snarking.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!If DMC 4 hadn't had the backtracking and repetitiveness, it would've been the best game in the series hadns down. I'd call it the Bravely Default Syndrome, but DMC came first.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Was the Deviantart thing an insult? I've seen some good stuff there and some horrible stuff there. If it means anything I imagined the wing to be like those of the angels from Diablo. Being basically metallic spikes protruding from the back with energy tendrils forming the general shape of wings (probably only in Devil trigger).
I wouldn't mind seeing a Dm C continuity version of 2 with Angels instead of demons. Have Lucia be the 22nd ina series of artificial angels and Arius try to ascend to become a high angel instead.

Struggling through it allI'd rather they not waste the money or resources and just make DMC5 or DMC0.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Okay, so I've heard that the PC port of DMC3 was bad but how bad? I ask because, from until the 15th, Steam is having a sale on Capcom games that includes both DMC3 and 4 (you can get both for 8 USD).
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Near unplayable bad. Here are some reasons why from actual Steam players:
Controller setup is a nightmare,no vsync, effects from the PS 2 version are missing.
Right. Don't get it, then.
So, how much of a bad idea would it be to try and play DMC4 with a keyboard and mouse? I've managed to play games like Dissidia Final Fantasy well enough and my mouse has two thumb buttons so there's that.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I doubt it'd be too bad, but using a controller may be a better option at times (like if you want to move slowly, for some reason).

One of my buddies bought it on steam. From the sound of things, he had lots of fun with it. ^_^
but HOW?I now own DMC4 and am using a the keyboard. The default controls are surprisingly good but I have yet to come up with a setup that makes dodging easier and pulling off moves like High Roller, Streak, Split and the ilk are kinda hard to preform.
I'll get a controller when I can but this game is all kinds of fun. Why did anyone ever hate Nero to begin with?

You mean the same Kamiya who only worked on the first game? And not the others?
I don't think whether he is around or not has any input on whether they plan on making a new DMC game or not.
Also, it is 'Yen', not 'Dollar'.
