Me and one of my friends watched about half of Space Thunder Kids last night. Why was I such a fool?

I'm looking into finding the korean production that spawned Space Thunder Kids. I heard it has a different dub but I don't have a clue if it's better or worse Space Thunder Kids.

I'm starting to admire Korean animation only for certain kind of insanity you can't possibly find in anime.

That's saying a lot.

yeah, I've heard of an animated series that somehow combines 007 and Gatchaman. There was another one that has Wonder Woman piloting the starship Enterprise. Such things were possible because South Korean wasn't obligated to protect copyrights until it became part of the WTO in the 90's. I think you can imagine the insanity that resulted.

Nice, very nice. If I can get enough material, I could make index for Korean animation. This is a major step towards that goal. Still, I'm not sure if I have mental stamina to endure 70's korean cartoons and the crappy Malaysian English dubs. At least, there are other fans crazy enough to find this interesting.

I do find it interesting the Japanese seem to be interested in this too but only to bash it.

Anyone got some pictures from those times when Magical Lyrical Nanoha's artwork just gets damn weird? Yuuno in ferret form has some especially...interesting...body proportions. The anime itself is pretty decent, but those few moments where the art gets obviously bad just really stick out.

G-Savior.

This is a real movie. Made by Bandai.

Recognize that mech? That is supposed to be the last part of the Universal Century Gundam Series. It's supposed to take place seventy years after Victory Gundam... It looks like it takes place before Mobile Suit Gundam, in a world where everybody acts like autistic robots.

ghghhgfhgsdf...HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I imagine the director told them "OK, in this scene, you're being shot at by enemies. Rock side to side and yell random, panickey sounding words!"

From the same movie:

Though note that this site (note that the text only show up in Firefox oddly enough) actually defends it, for one, the budget was ridiculously low.

The biggest problem is that Sunrise thought that making it in the first place was a good idea (especially on a $10 million budget).

And considering that even Tomino stated his dislike for the movie, I'm going to call Discontinuity for the whole thing.

That can't be real. There is no eldritch abomination like that in the real world. God would not allow it...

Was that NORTH Korean animation? I cannot believe the South would... I don't even have the words for what that was.
