To be honest, I'm going to be sad but a little relieved that Glee's finally over. Now the actors will finally be able to do other stuff instead of continuing to be the most visible aspect of RIB's diva-ness.

Then we can all hang out in fandom and pretend everything past Season 2 or Season 3 never happened. (There's no getting around Cory Monteith's death, though. sad )

I suppose at some point I'll have to catch up. I stopped watching partway into The Quarterback because I was kinda not feeling like subjecting myself to something potentially emotional, what with Ryan Murphy accidentally creating the most depressing character in primetime television.

It's been a long time since I've been in this thread...

Though I'm liking this season, I really hope that they'll fill out the new new New Directions before Sectionals.

It's nice seeing Vocal Adrenaline full of jerks again and Unique come back. I hope the rest of that class will be back eventually.

Rachel and Sam is starting to feel natural. Sam is a lot like Finn...

So while declaring myself the king of yet another thread, I announce that I saw the episode. Again late.

There wasn't much conflict in this episode, at least not in the end. Santana and Brittany getting married at their age is just as surprising as Kurt and Blaine getting pretty much pressured to get married along with them. And then Tina proposes to Mike, but he turns her down. Oh well, can't pair em all.

It's a really weird episode that doesn't even focus on the glee club but its graduates, though it's still heart-warming. Nice that Sugar could come back. Pity she didn't bring Joe or the other kids. I think that was her mother though.

New Directions still needs six more members, Will still needs to find his place, and Rachel still needs to either get with Sam or get back on Broadway or something.

Finally some focus on the new kids.

I'm loving Mason. Even when I thought that he actually WAS dating his sister. It's too bad the series ends in four episodes...

Spencer has little clue about guys. But it seems that if they think you're hot enough, you don't need to have charm. [lol]

And Myron reminds me of that kid from Full House who was always really theatrical and campy...only Myron is more of a diva.

Well they only need 4 more members before sectionals. I really hope that they could get back Marley, Jake and Ryder for the end. That 12th spot can be filled by anybody.

So I thought that Dalton burning to the ground and the Warblers joining New Directions was kind of a copout, because they needed only four more members, but those New Directions blazers look pretty cool. And I'm guessing that most of the Warblers quit after the school burned down cause there's like only half of them, but you know how loose they are with casting.

Sue grtting fired was kind of unexpected, but way overdue, so it's still funny. And her cosching Vocal Adrenaline is kind of perfect in a way too.

I wonder who VA's choreographer is, he uses the same moves for like every song.

And Rachel getting back to New York AND NYADA would probably be the perfect ending, but it's still two episodes left.

I did see Jesse St. James in the next-to-last preview, so that's cool too.

I'm holding out for Unique and Jake and Ryder and Supergirl Marley for the last episode (remember when she dressed up as Wonder Woman for that one episode? Almost predictive), but if not, I'll just settle for whoever makes it for the finale.

And for being the last poster ever in the Tvtropes Glee thread. :p

I just saw a documentary on the Philippines. I saw island natives playing musical chairs, dancing the hell out of Bad Romance and Baby (baby, baby oh), using traditional dance moves. I also saw entire prisonfuls of convicts in orange jumpsuits dancing a choreography to "Be A Man" and 3Happy" It was awesome and surreal and I thought "fuck Ohio, this is the kind of place they should set the next Glee series in... and it should feature our favorite half-Filippino, too!"

Sectionals could have gone either way, but it's kind of nice that they won.

Sue admits to sabotaging Vocal Adrenaline, which I suppose is commendable, but then you never know what to expect from her. She could have been lying about all of it.

Myron puts on a wig and dances in the audience, whose idea was that.

But now that Rachel and the rest of them are finally going back to New York, it finally looks like the show will end. I guess they'll bring back the cast for the very last goodbye, but if course it'll be even sadder without Cory. I wonder what would have been different if he was still there.

But I thought that Rachel was still with Sam and then she kisses Jesse...is that just okay now? Or will they save that last point of potential drama for the finale.

Ha, ending a six-year-long series with a prequel/interquel to the pilot is a really weird way to go.

It's funny how they get all the old kids to reprise all their old roles, even Matt. They all try to look and act like they used to, even Rachel with her giant eyebrows. XD

I don't remember Terri being that horrible.

The saddest thing though that Finn couldn't be there for real...ah, that first part made me miss him again.

As for the SECOND part, what a leap. From winning Sectionals to winning Nationals to PRINCIPAL Shuester of the Mckinley High School of Arts with four different choirs. [lol][lol][lol]

Then Director Evans, Beyonce's opening act Mercedes...

Then five years later for Vice President of the United States Sue Sylvester, teachers Kurt and Blaine Hummel-Anderson (Anderson-Hummel? Hummelson?), and surrogate mother to Klaine Tony winner Rachel Barry married to Jesse.

And EVERYONE comes back for the final song except Marley, that traitor...Supergirl better be good.

...well, that's what you missed on "Glee!"

Yes, Terri was that horrible, particularly on the few occasions we saw her in the second season. She was only happy making Will unhappy. The only time she was even remotely human was in "Mattress," when Will finally found out what she'd done and she was begging him to stay. You got to see some of what she did was out of desperation, and it had gotten way out of control. Otherwise, a truly awful woman and a terrible relationship.

I think Glee ended in the most satisfying way it could, after an entire season of WTF? There were some fun callbacks, and a nice happy ending and tears for everyone.

Dude, it was an entire show of WTF.

They need to make a new tv show featuring show choir and licensed songs... but, you know, one that's a bit less... Ryan Murphy.

So I just found out what my ideal Glee-ish would be like in terms of tone and style: see Steven Universe.

I realize I'm six years late to the party, but why does anyone act like Rachel is special? She's not much better than anyone else, certainly not "give all the solos to her" material.

It just kind of taints the show for me that they overlook the talents of other kids in glee club to focus on Rachel.

And if the school is having budget issues, why do they have a golf cart for the gym teacher?

Cause the school's budget issue is that they spend too much money on sports. It has a very typically American sense of priorities: get the best cheerleading coach (despite her being a prick) but hire as a Spanish teacher a guy who can't actually speak Spanish.

Glee is very much a Black Comedy where people are absurdly stupid and things don't make sense, and yet it also tries to be a drama where you're supposed to care about those jerks and what happens to them. It's a difficult balancing act, and the show fully alienated me by the end of season 3.

I think Kurt ignoring Blaine's phone calls was the straw that broke tha camel's back.

Ah. I haven't watched the show in five years, but halfway through the pilot now I realized this is not a show to be taken too seriously.

Pity, Kurt's actually my favorite character by a wide margin. I guess if he can fall victim to the boogeymen of poor writing and characterization, anyone can.

Ah well. The music's usually pretty good and it's fun to watch.

They tried to make me go to rehab...

Kurt is a massive Creator's Pet. The kid does pretty terrible things, and never faces any consequences for them.

I never liked Kurt much. He was never that attractive to me and he didn't believe that bisexuals even existed.

More instead I liked the straight couples. Finn and Rachel were my favorite because I thought that they'd stick it out to the end, but when Cory died I almost wanted Rachel to end out alone.

Or with Sam. And then Jesse came back and she sort of just forgot that she was with him.

It was always a bittersweet series.

Probably the most awful writing I've ever seen. Full of so many lines and set up that I just have to wonder what were they drinking and smoking when they wrote some of this since so much never gets mentioned again.

If I remember, Kurt's 'I don't believe in bisexuals' line was during the early seasons when he was a Sophomore. I can believe a high school student being that stupid.

Funny enough, they turned such a line into a massive joke during If/Then. "I don't believe in independants in the same way that I don't believe in bisexuals. Pick a fucking side." Meanwhile, she's dating her (male) best friend in one time line, but he's dating another male in a different time line. Oh the dramatic irony.

Dohoho.

I liked Blaine pretty much since the moment he was introduced, as well as the whole Warblers concept, setting, and so on. Pity they didn't get their spinoff. Pannic kept complaining that he was bland, but I just thought he was cute, likeable, funny, and mysterious, in a laid-back sort of way.

Although Blain doesn't lay-back on furniture: he climbs it.
