This is a film about a 12-year-old assassin and that's the bit that horrified you?
hashtagsarestupidNo, "Kick Ass 2" the comic, the first Kick Ass film and comic came out way before glee, back when Myspace was still a thing. More importantly, the twelve-year-old assassin is an exceptional and weird thing in-universe, but girls being celebrity-obsessed at that young age is treated as the normal life she has to adapt to.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.My Space? That was a brand of discmen wasn't it? Yeah I remember having one of those!
hashtagsarestupidOh yeah, Kick-Ass had a sequel comic and is getting a sequel movie. I remember looking it up when it was announced way back after the first movie and it looked like the comic was having a huge Schedule Slip. Guess it picked up.
Anyway, time to catch up on the show, starting with Sweet Dreams.
Do tell me if you find anything worthy of watching.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Well, this episode does Don't Stop Believin' again. That's kinda nice.
Is it a choral, ensemble thing, or is it another crap cover of a pop song with zero choir as in fucking show choir?
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Starts off as just a solo with Rachel, then fades in with Mercedes, Kurt, and Tina as backup singers (or more accurately as the "da da da" setting on the synthesizer) and then they do legit backup singing with Finn and Artie joining in. So mostly solo with backup singing.
It's her Funny Girl audition. Which I find somewhat questionable. Doing a pop or a rock song as an audition piece makes sense if you're trying out for Rent or Spring Awakening or Rock of Ages or something along those lines, but not for a "Golden Age" show.
Ooh, and the episode ends with them doing an original song.

LMAO
hashtagsarestupidCool, Jenna put out a book.
Glee is not a feeling with very positive connotations, you know?
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. This show needs moar Eurovision songs.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.I know this is in stark contradiction with what I just stated in the pervious post, but I really think Glee would have been better off if it had stuck to minimalism, and realism.
That they needed an extra booty camp specifically to teach them to dance, when actual show choirs dance all the time as a matter of course...
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Clearly realism wasn't getting the show enough attention, so it quickly turned to melodrama and showy dancing to get attention. Oh, and kissing the asses of pop singers, even if they're all washed up.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatYeah, why must all guest characters be Mary Sue...
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Least it wasn't like when the Simpsons had Lady Gaga on. Every scene she wasn't in, I expected the characters to all look sad and say, "Where's Gaga?"
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatYou know what I love about season 2?
Karofsky's character development. It's actually really well done and believable, especially in comparison to some of the other plot lines.
Also it gives Kurt more screen time, which is always a good thing.
Heh. That was when the Kurtofsky vs. Blaine shipping wars were going on. Fuuuuun.
Thankfully the first time it was on was before I discovered shipping.
I managed to avoid the hate.
GUYS
YOU DO NOT WANT TO SEARCH FOR GLEE RIGHT NOW
because Cory Monteith died.
I stopped watching Glee due to lack of time, lack of interest, and lack of writing competence, but Cory is the least deserving person to randomly die EVER.

Oh.
Wow.
For real life, I'm shocked and saddened.
For the show, I wonder how they'll state his absence. :/

This post has been powered by avenging fury and a balanced diet.
We've already seen enough of them.
Also, it was quite strange to see pop references to glee in Kick Ass. By twelve-year-old girls. Who also dig Bieber. My God, these are children watching a show where a bunch of kids get smashed and then sing about it.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
