So does this game still enforce the time limit on you? If you didn't make it to a specific location by an exact time in the first game, it was game over. Not very fun when you simply can't get back to the security room in time.
The game usually reminds you an hour in advance when stuff's about to happen, but yeah, there's still a time limit.
I'm curious where you can get these Skills Packs at. I mean, I know the Ninja is a preorder bonus, but what about Psycho, Soldier, and Sports Fan? I can only assume that they will be available in the near future.
Troper page Nothing interesting here, move along...Meh, the time limit pretty much killed the game for me.
I thought this thread would have a lot more posts, since the game is popular...
The time limit is not as bad as people say it is. When you know which weapons (combo or normal) are good for certain situations, where to find them (or the combo weapon's ingredients), and you're level 50, the game isn't that difficult. If you get stuck and don't know what to do, there's always looking up a walkthrough.
Anyway, I've completed the game, and I just have 4 more achievements to get: the 2 co-op ones, the one where you dress in all the clothing in the game, and one other I'm forgetting at the moment.
(Also, disregard my earlier comment up there; turns out the other skill packs were released one pack per week after the game's release.)

Rented the game Sunday. It's pretty fun, although playing Terror is Reality for a few hours and buying Zombrex from pawn shops kind of make that part moot.
Quick question: I never played a Dead Rising game before, but I'm still unsure whether I want to get Dead Rising 2. Which add-on game is best for me to get: Case Zero or Case West?
I think Case Zero would be a better choice if you're still undecided on getting DR2. Case Zero takes place a few years before the start of that game, and it introduces some concepts that are present in 2 (money, shops, combo weapons, Zombrex, etc.). You can get up to level 5 there, and your level + combo cards carry over into 2. Case West, on the other hand, takes place after the events of 2, so there'll be spoilers on the events that happen there. I'd save that for after completing DR2, if you decide to get it.
Just got Case West today. Interestingly, it seems to continue from Ending A of DR 2.
#IceBearForPresidentAll you need to know about Dead Rising Two:
- The materials for Knife Gloves are just left of your starting point.
- You can make painkillers and find steaks to the casino to the right of your starting point.
New thread for it.

Power corrupts. Knowledge is Power. Study hard. Be evil.
You can finish the story at as low as level 30, I think.
also I HAVE TAMED SNOWFLAKE! It's only sort of awesome though, because you can't ride her around and maul zombies to death. At least, not as far as I can tell.
Is it just me or are The Twins much, much easier than we were lead to believe? I just grabbed a couple of shotguns in Palisades Mall and gunned Amber down. I took one or two hits tops.
