“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor HebertBecause I have a bad gut feeling that it won't be represented in Nyx at all...
Deus ex Machina 1RRR
Sorcery
Destroy target artifact, then search your deck for a Legendary God or Spirit Creature and put it onto the battlefield under your control tapped. Then shuffle your deck.
Contrary to popular belief, it doesn't always immediately solve everything.
As I understand it, Spirits previously were the god equivalent before Theros came around, which is why it has both types in there.

Elementals, Avatars and Incarnations used to fill some of the deity holes, too.
They call it the Rumour Mill because every time one specific guy posts I definitely feel cards going from my library to my graveyardSuppose it's probably better to make it simpler than rather than trying to add all those other things on to it.
True. I just have been thinking a lot about how Kamigawa kami and Lorwyn-Shadowmoor non-flamekin elementals are really, really similar both visually and in concept.
I'd like to see again a block that featured these type of abstract creatures.

Land
(T): Add (1) to your mana pool.
(T): Add (W) to your mana pool. Target opponent puts a 1/1 black Snake creature token with deathtouch on the battlefield.
"I have had it with these motherfuckin' snakes on these motherfuckin' plains!"

I get that it's a joke, but that land is terrible.
Well, I should hope so. I certainly wouldn't want my lands covered in snakes.
...I see what you did there
Orbital Strike (4RR)
Sorcery
~ deals 8 damage to a random creature and 3 damage to each other creature.
Targeting takes place a considerable distance above the battlefield. Accuracy is somewhat compromised.
Alternate flavor text: "We should nuke it from orbit. Just to be safe."

Sorcery
Destroy all nonland permanents, then each player takes X damage, where X is the number of permanents that player controlled that were destroyed this way.
It's the only way to be sure.

Not sure if "when" or "if" or "whenever".
Makeshift Shiv (0)
Artifact — Equipment
Equip (1)
Equipped creature gets +3/+0. When equipped creature deals damage, sacrifice ~.
Treacherous Bond (1B)
Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature
Whenever another source deals damage to enchanted creature, Treacherous Bond deals that much damage to enchanted creature's controller.
Whenever another source deals damage to enchanted creature's controller, Treacherous Bond deals that much damage to enchanted creature.
Angelic Hosts
Legendary Land
T: Add W to your mana pool.
Angels cost 1W less to cast.
Dragons Den
Legendary Land
T: Add R to your mana pool.
Dragons cost 1R less to cast.
Library of the Sphinx
Legendary Land
T: Add U to your mana pool.
Sphinx cost 1U less to cast.
And so on and so forth...
I would assume Beasts for green, but what of black?
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...I would have thought Hydras and Demons.
EDIT: Also, isn't an angelic host an army of angels?

Yeah, technically, but the name sounded cool. I'm open to alternate suggestions if you got 'em.
And yes, you're right on what creatures the other two lands would go with.
I don't really have any alternate names. Angels (and demons, I guess) aren't really known for hanging out anyplace terrestrial.
I mean, you could use "Angelic Sphere", just based on the classical idea that the planets and stars (the "celestial spheres") are where heaven is, and so is where angels would dwell, but it just sounds weird to me for it to be the name of a land.
If you're not strict on having the word "angel" in the name, I would have suggested Elysian Fields.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...- I-401 Submarine "Iona"
- Legendary Artifact Creature - Fog Submarine AI
- 1/3
- 3UU
- I-401 Submarine "Iona" enters the battlefield with 3 Klein Field counters.
- Whenever I-401 Submarine "Iona" would take damage, you may remove X Klein Field counters to prevent X of that damage.
- During your upkeep, you may add 1 Klein Field counter to I-401 Submarine "Iona", unless it already has 3 or more Klein Field counters.
- T, remove 3 Klein Field counters: deal 3 damage to target permanent.
- This is based on a character from Arpeggio of Blue Steel. I know direct damage isn't normally a blue thing.
- What wording errors are there in this as is?
- Is this card properly balanced?
A refinement of a mechanic I designed earlier:
Reaper's Caress (B)
Enchantment - Aura
Enchant creature
Enchanted creature gets -1/-1.
Expand 4BB (If you cast this spell for its expand cost, it has enchant player instead of enchant creature. Change its text by replacing all instances of "enchanted creature" with "each creature enchanted player controls".)
"Whenever I-401 Submarine "Iona" would take damage, you may remove X Klein Field counters to prevent X of that damage." should be worded Protean Hydra style: "If damage would be dealt to CARDNAME, you may prevent that damage and remove that many COUNTERS from it.".
"During your upkeep, you may add 1 Klein Field counter to I-401 Submarine "Iona", unless it already has 3 or more Klein Field counters." should be something like "At the beginning of your upkeep, if CARDNAME has less than 3 COUNTERS on it, you may put a COUNTER on it."
And "T, remove 3 Klein Field counters: deal 3 damage to target permanent." should say "remove 3 COUNTERS from CARDNAME" and "target creature" instead of "target permanent" (you can't deal damage to noncreatures anyway).
I don't know jack about power level, though.
