This game. I bought it yesterday. I am now in fucking China. This game is Bad Ass. It is absolutely amazing. It is everything I ever wanted. It's got likeable characters and engaging dialogue and cool roleplay, like a Bio Ware joint. But it's got all the freedom of movement and all the tactical flexibility of a Metal Gear title. It is a pleasure to go through an entire level without killing a single idiot. The satisfaction of properly sneaking around, and even, sometimes, of talking one's way into somewhere with no hassle at all. And the visuals! The mood! The themes and the athmosphere! I guess what I'm saying is, I'm very, very satisfied.

[up]Haven't killed anybody yet? Heh, good luck trying to NOT murder somebody after what Belltower's mercenaries do in Hengsha's Alice Garden Pods...

Nah, I just beat them up silly. I did kill about three before I really got the hang of the stealth system.

Got the game on Steam for just $3.00. I hope when the director's cut comes out it will be available as DLC or a big patch or something.

[up]Not for a long time, they won't. The whole point behind the exclusivity is that the Wii U players are supposed to get something that the others don't, so we're probably not gonna see the extra content and new bosses for a few months.

The DC is no longer Wii-exclusive.

Never in a billion years.

My guess is that it'll turn up four to eight months after the Wii U version and you'll have to pay for a brand new copy.

I keep every mine that I disarm throughout a level and then spam the hell out of them when boss fights turn up.

[up][up]You can't do takedowns during that fight if you got the TYM biochip upgrade though.

I questionly obeyed it so I made a save right before doing it, did the deed to see the dialogue, read up on it, then reloaded.

Bah, I just beat him the old-fashioned way: used my burst round, quick reload, high-capacity shotgun, hid behind a "doorway" until he either showed up on my side of the wall (then I space-held to the other side of the corner, extra-peeked to get a good crosshairs, and shot him once), or the other side (then I just shot him once). Then I ran away before he could retaliate, hid behind the opposite wall, rinse and repeat. If he ever got me, I just ran like crazy until my health came back. It was hard to figure out, but once I did, I was okay.

Also, I couldn't find that asshole Tabarnt or whatever his name was on the base, so I had to make do without his ending.

Also fuck I've finally finished this game god-damn it!

Also, those endings suck. All of them make me feel like an asshole. I found the one in the middle especially irritating, since in my mind I understood it to be "telling people the truth and exposing the Illuminati so we could go on transhumanizing safely and more aware of future dangers." and the writers somehow spun it into some sort of Luddite bullshit. The Sarif ending was also bullshit, it's arguments for singularity were extremely vague and half-assed. I found it very unsatisfying...

[up] Welcome to the club. The rumor mill says that they ran out of money aright around the ending, which is why Upper Hengsha and Montreal were never made into the hub areas they were initially supposed to be.

Taggart's ending basically justifies shadowy authoritarianism while the destroy ending basically said "withholding the truth is awesome, especially if you kill several hundred innocent people in the process".

Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.

The endings were subpar, but their morality is one thing I have absolutely no problem with. I'm glad they followed the example of the original game (and Invisible War) in creating choices that weren't absolutely right or wrong. I'm pretty sure "blow it all up" is meant to evoke the Dark Age ending of the original.

The thing about the endings is that they all end up setting up the circumstances that led to J.C. having a chance of saying:

Though the route from the Sarif one to Deus Ex is a bit convoluted, I would imagine.

Frankly, the Zombie Apocalypse was kinda spooky... but not nearly enough. It was too silly to take seriously. Especially since I had to face the exact same scenario in Guns Of The Patriots. Which game came out first?

So, how many blu-rays would it take to install a total remake of the original game using Human Revolution's engine? Because I would buy a blu-ray drive for my pc just to play it.

Well then, bummer for them.

Also, is the DLC worth playing? I mean, it's a pity that they had to pull an Evangelion or Bioshock in the end, because it's overall a beautiful game, it's just sad that they ran out of money.

However, my thought when seeing the computer girls was more like "how and why did they get these super-sexy designer clothes for a project that's super-mega-secret? Couldn't they just use standard hospital gowns or something?"
