Sackett> if we can find an good picture that depicts both the protagonist and his Hero Antagonist in one of their many confrontations.
How about this one◊, from Darker Than Black?
"The second guy on the floor tried to throttle her only 20 seconds ago".
Or, even better, "2) Never point a gun at anything in which you don't want to blast a hole."

...And even I make no pretense Of having more than common sense - R.W.WoodRelies on caption for explanation.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan....because outfits + pointing a gun isn't enough?
More relies on caption than e.g. current Motherly Scientist?
...And even I make no pretense Of having more than common sense - R.W.WoodIt doesn't really say much about heroism or villainous.
Fight smart, not fair.I didn't see the gun until you mentioned it.
Also, saying "this other thing is bad" does not make this thing less bad.
The Motherly Scientist image is weak. The image need only depict a character that looks both matronly and scientisty, imo.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. What about Commodore Norrington? Or Eric Finch?

I am the lone wolf. I do not lead or follow. Both JAFAAC.
How about a police chase scene from any street racing game.
Oh, I think that's inspired. Makes a lot of sense. But it'll be difficult to portray that the person be chased is the hero.
Maybe The Inspector from Lupin The 3rd he is an easy to be known for this trope
Darkness is The Power of LifeYou seem to have missed the spirit of Just A Face And A Caption, namely that it's the visual equivalent of X Just X and doesn't help explain the trope if the reader hasn't seen the source material.
Fight smart, not fair.We should try L he is well known by lots of fans and the fact that Death Note is more populer
Darkness is The Power of LifeNo. For so many reasons, no. Please read the Just A Face And A Caption article, for starters.
[1]◊
"They're both heroes. Alas...there's been a misunderstanding."
Found a good pic here. Features both the hero and his heroic antagonist fighting each other, and both parties within reason look like heroic people. For those unfamiliar with the source material, this is a screen shot from Mega Man Zero 2 of a battle between Zero (the guy on the left, who is the hero) and Harpuia (the guy on the right, who is the heroic antagonist).

Put the URL for the image in double square brackets. You don't need an IMG tag.
[[url goes here]]
^ The heck?
Well it seems to be Hard to get the image To Show Up on post Without trying to make it a link

Darkness is The Power of LifeNo, it was working before. You can't hotlink on this site.
Fight smart, not fair.A. You can't hotlink an image.
B. You were using some odd mish-mash of mark-up that wouldn't work anyway.
C. Take a look at what I changed it to (click the little pencil icon on your post) to see how to link an image here.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Iqbal, that's just a Just A Face And A Caption.
Someone who has never picked up a Superman comic will know several things about him. They'll instantly recognize him in his costume, know he's from Krypton, his human name is Clark Kent, what his powers are, that he's a Truth, Justice, and the American Way sort of guy, and grew up in Kansas with Ma and Pa Kent. He dates Lois Lane and works as a reporter wearing glasses, and Lex Luthor (who is bald) is his arch nemesis.
That's something almost everyone out there is bound to know. They might know more details, like things about the Fortress of Solitude, or that his real name is Kal-El. Even if they've never read a comic, seen any of his movies, or cartoon shows, or TV shows. They could hate comics with a passion and still know who he is. Other characters like Mario, Mickey Mouse, Batman, and Darth Vader are instantly recognizable.
L from Death Note may be popular amongst the anime fan crowd, but only that crowd. If you've never seen anime, you have no idea who he is. Even anime fans might be able to recognize his face—but not who he is in the context of his show.
Thanks. Got to work.
I think this trope is probably going to be a lot easier if we use a video game example since we can use a game play screen shot. For example, if we use Harpuia, we could use a pic of one of his multiple boss encounters (there are at least 3) with the caption: "They're both good guys fighting for equally noble causes. Unfortunately, there's been a misunderstanding."
