I love the "Athletic" version of the Super Mario World theme - it has a nice ragtime feel to it.
Also, the ENTIRE Railroad Tycoon II soundtrack. This is the game's main theme.

I really hope that I'm not the first to mention everything from Beyond Good and Evil.

Shutdown sequence initiated.Really digging the Crysis 2 soundtrack as of now.
Was Jack Mackerel. | i rite gudEverything from Rise Of The Triad.
Somehow you know that the time is right.HOLY FUCKING SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT
Square Enix can be forgiven for hitting the wallets of Human Revolution fans some more by releasing an extended version of the soundtrack after the mere thirty minute version that came with the limited edition of the game - all because they made this track available. I want this on CD.
East West Quantum Leap = instant Scenery Porn music
Portal 2 soundtrack, all 64 tracks.
It reminds me a lot of Daft Punk's score for Tron Legacy.
The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well.Speaking of Valve, I'm kind of sad that Kelly Bailey quit. A lot of Half-Life 2's music is really good, but Valve haven't bothered to turn attention to their games' music via official releases until after he was out.
Anyway, procedural chiptunes that accompany a solved puzzle and a sync sequence that accelerates when you use Propulsion Gel = win.

What the hell are you talking about?

Parts in there definitely sounded like Ra. I could be wrong.

The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well.I saw that and I think I'm kind of on to what you meant to say, but spelling it out a bit more would be nice.
I do tend to be overly brief online.
Kinda weird because I never shut up IRL.
The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well.Well, Michael McCann specifically used samples or synthesized imitations of real instruments as opposed to real musicians in order to accent the transhumanist aspect of the Deus Ex universe (especially vocals, since they're as human an instrument can get). Something similar can be observed in the Battlefield 3 main theme I posted before that - the indisputable meat of the obviously electronic orchestral main theme is five seconds of bassy interference-like glitches, which serves to underline the fact that the game - possessing quite insanely realistic graphics - is still a digital recreation of real warfare (supposedly). Too bad the rest of BF3's soundtrack is not half as clever or interesting.
I think that an unintended benefit from that was McCann having the time that otherwise would've been wasted on recording and directing performance for more composing.
Also the Human Revolution soundtrack includes a totally bitchin' electro house number. Check that ducked saw bass:
My point being/teal deer: go play Human Revolution if you haven't already and check its soundtrack while you're at it.

The list could go on for miles. But I've always been a fan of Daisuke Ishiwatari.
...That was....
I need more Electro House that sounds like that. That was one of the best basslines I've ever heard.
