I think the hakama combined with the jacket looks good, imo. Dunno, maybe its because it transitions from his jacket better than just regular pants.

I think my problem with his jacket is it's too short and constricted to properly balance out his hakama, maybe they if lengthened it and got rid of those two belts and let it flow it'd be better.

tbh everyone should prepare for Mai in the next game because she wouldn't be considered a heroine for nothing. CP has shown Mori can dedicate a lot of time to characters that were completely new while ignoring older characters, so Mai wouldn't be too out of place to get a good role in the last game.
The woorst thing that can happen is that he adds new faces but flatout tosses out old faces.
Also in GG news, Accent Core Plus R is out now on Steam and the porting job is really good! I got a consistent 60 or so fps on my oldass laptop so they did pretty good and there's an onboard Arc Sys dev on the steam forums answering questions which is great ofhim

Ragna's hair and color scheme is what makes him "generic" over all else. The hakama + jacket combo kind of make him stand out actually and its with BB's fusion of East Asian/futuristic aesthetic.
I wouldn't say he's exactly generic either, as he's pretty recognizable. I could definitely tell when a dude is cosplaying Ragna. Actually the coat-thing under his jacket is kind of meh as it's that weird 90s anime Chinese-esque top.
His weapon is awesome though. It's one thing he has over Sol Badguy.
