I love that song. And that show.
Nostalgiaaaaa
Chances are, I'm not actually wearing any pants right now.Oh man, this was my first anime after DBZ, aka the one that really introduced me to the medium. I've since fallen out of it, and I only like a handful of shows, but this remains one of my favorite story experiences ever. Love love love this show!
Rawr!Best. Manga. Ever. That's finished. That's not Fullmetal Alchemist.
In Before Sir Psycho Sexy.
Meh, its alright. The ending of the Manga was rather Half assed and a rather unessacary plot twist, in my opinion.
Watch Symphogear...You have no idea how hard I laughed when I read that. Especially since I was going to say, "I'm happy I didn't have to start this thread".
YYH is, well, my chief fandom for the past eight years. And it's a wellspring of happy for me. Not to mention one of the best anime and manga series of all time, IMHO. Inventive fights, awesome characters, emotional honesty...it has it all.
Heaven doesn't want me, and Hell's afraid I'll take over. It's the only 100+ episode series I watched all the way to the end. And I loved every minute of it.
It doesn't hurt that it has some of the best action of any longrunning series I've seen. Really, the art may look dated now, but get a load of the actual animation. And the fights were very well paced.
Best. Manga. Ever. Some call the ending botched, but I closed the last volume with a smile on my face, and a ball in my heart—because I'd never read more of Yusuke's adventures and trials.
I always interpreted the ending as "Humans and demons are Not So Different"- more or less.
I am still awed with what Togashi got away with for a Shounen Jump title back in the early 90's. (Granted, it pales in comparison to Hunter X Hunter, buuuut...)

Heaven doesn't want me, and Hell's afraid I'll take over.Necroing the thread to say that tomorrow, YYH turns TWENTY.
If that's not IJAM material, I don't know what is.
Heaven doesn't want me, and Hell's afraid I'll take over.Checking amazon reveals that all the DVD boxsets are surprisingly affordable. New things to add to my want list for when I get a revenue stream again.
I remember watching this on Toonami. Good times.

Though it's Better on DVD.
Heaven doesn't want me, and Hell's afraid I'll take over.I haven’t watched nearly enough of this show. But I do own the lunchbox.
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!>:(
:D
I've read the first two volumes and I LOVE IT. The first volume alone made me cry THREE TIMES, which is a record for me for a single volume.
What have I been doing all this time, not reading this?!
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.awesome series, don't forget to check the authors other works, such as hunter x hunter.
and damn, funimation does a good job dubbing songs
ONE PIECE SEASON 4 IS HERE!! Support the straw hats and funimation: http://tinyurl.com/cffxygrI remember this show. So much sarcasm. And surprisingly dark for Cartoon Network or whatever aired it.

Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!Count me as someone who didn't get the hype. I made it all the way through the manga, but the fights, apparently intended to be the story's core, seemed overlong and boring to me. (You know you've gone too high on the power scale when your villains dissolve the flesh of lower-ranking demons just by standing near them while at full strength.)

That's Feo . . . He's a disgusting, mysoginistic, paedophilic asshat who moonlights as a shitty writer—Something AwfulDamn, I haven't seen YYH in years. Hell, it's one of the few animes I continued to like after the end of my anime fan phase years ago.
One of the best anime ever IMO!
They've been playing this on the FU Nimation channel. I finally got to see what happens at the end of, and after, the Four Saintly Beasts arc yesterday and they're already at the Dark Tournament arc.
I didn't remember the show being so good. The voice acting could use some work here or there, but it's still really good.
I actually kinda prefer Kuwabara's fights over Yusuke's so far, as the former's fights seem to involve him having to outsmart his opponent whereas the latter's fights are more or less "get beaten up, gain more power from nowhere, win fight".

Kurama's fights are also real interesting. Though I guess some of them boil down to "here's a new plant. You die."
I have a message from another time...The latter part isn't always necessary, though, as we saw with Elder Togoro. O_O

You ever feel down trodden in life? Miserable and sad? Or just tired and lonely? When suddenly, your intuition and wisdom grow, and then you know, the compassion you feel, from strangers you don't even know?
Yeah, that rocks.
