I'd reckon Shanks' crew is probably the strongest on average per person, since he seems to just have the one ship. Much like Luffy he probably doesn't have anyone truly mook-tier.

My money is on speed being Shanks' greatest advantage. Kaidou, Big Mom and Whitebeard were all primarily commended for their exceptional strength, durability and (in the case of the latter two at least) their super broken Devil Fruits, so it would sorta make sense for there to be at least one Emperor whose shtick is that he's insanely fast.

Speaking of the Emperors, one theory I've been seeing floating around is that after Kaido's defeat, Blackbeard will cheapshot him and steal his Fruit, likely the strongest Zoan, so he'd now have absurdly-broken powers of all three types.

Why I get a feeling that literally everything will go wrong with the plan? [lol]

I am so excited for when Big Mom opens the fishman box.

Oh my God it is gonna be so gut bustingly hilarious to see it blow up in her face. [lol]

Can't remember if it was here or elsewhere but I saw one suggestion that Luffy might mistake the exploding Tamate box for his signal to make his entrance.

On a side note, why have I never thought of using treasure chests as gift boxes before

It occurs to me we get potential spanner #2 (#1 being Katakuri) with Vito talking too freely in front of the Homie door. (Gets further info the chapter: nevermind, I guess)

In the scene where they're all asleep it almost seems like even Oda is treating Brulee as part of the team. Incidentally, that running gag even hit us as someone tried to add Brulee as a Token Evil Teammate.

[up][up][up][up] Huh if that were to happen you couldn't blame Luffy for acting ahead.

The plan would be ruined due to a factor none of them could have foreseen.

[up]I thought it was here, but I follow a couple OP boards I legitimately couldn't remember. Even if I had I don't pay enough attention to give proper credit by name, so glad you mentioned it.

This is a random topic, but has anyone else noticed the leniency toward misandry compared to other forms of bigotry?

There are plenty of examples on this website in which a bad experience with one or a handful of men "justifies" a female character hating half of the population.

In regards to One Piece, Fishman Island had a moral about not judging other races by bad experiences with a few members. Both humans and fishmen needed to know more about each other before they started passing judgment. Fisher Tiger's refusal to accept human blood is acknowledged by Tiger himself to be completely irrational, as he knows that not all humans are like the ones who enslaved him. Fukaboshi berates himself for allowing even a small portion of his heart to hate humanity over (allegedly) killing his mother. Ultimately, despite the long history of friction between humanity and fishmen, which has mostly been human-on-fishman oppression outside of Arlong and Hody, the residents of Fishman Island resolve to follow Otohime's dream of peaceful coexistence.

So it seems a bit odd that with the message "don't judge the an entire group that you barely know by a few of its members", Hancock's hatred of men in general because a few of them enslaved her is left unchallenged. There are female World Nobles and male slaves, yet instead of focusing her animosity toward World Nobles as a group allowed to ignore the law and stomp on others as much as they please, and are also reviled by the general population (the Donquixote family didn't deserve what happened to them, but they are at least the exception to the rule on how World Nobles act), she chooses to make it an issue of gender.

The Kuja's man-hating isn't because of what happened to Hancock and her sisters. They were all female island long before that, and they only had females children long before that.

We don't know when or why it started, but it wasn't over that.

[up] The Kuja Pirates simply view men as inferior; only the Boa sisters seem to have actual animosity toward them.

In that case, because the story isn't about them then. The Boa Sisters aren't going on rampages to kill all men, and are willing to work with and acknowledge some.

Honestly, I find it a bit weird how you're separating their people's general view of men, from their issues. The culture they grew up in makes hating all men so much easier, and it's not like they have any specific love Celestial Dragon women.

Edit: Also, because they were dealing with Luffy and Luffy doesn't care about their man-hating. Luffy didn't really care about helping with the racism problem either.

Hancock is still portrayed as a literal puppy kicking asshole though. She just happens to be in love with the MC, who is noted for not giving a damn if his friends are good people or not so long as they're nice to him or fun to hang out with. I don't think the story condones her behavior or attitude, it just chooses not to address it.

You could actually spin that portrayal as being misogynistic, mind you, because it means Boa isn't being taken seriously.

Luffy, Rayleigh, and the men the former cares about.

Remember that she stacked everyone around her at Marineford, stating that with the exception of Luffy, men are all the same to her.
