I think that title is revolting.
But the game looks fun, I guess.
Estimated shipping time: 2-4 weeks. All the Ratchet & Clank titles are terrible. All of them.
And that is great.
I'm not taking off my pants for a forum meme. -Nornagest"Up Your Arsenal"
(Sparkysharps is trying to figure out the innuendo implications of this particular title. The answers I come up with are... disturbing.)
As for the game itself: Wee! Friendship-ending co-op games are my favoite kind.
Speaking of which: 7-minute Gameplay demonstration. I predict that the swingshot will be the biggest griefing device ever.
Or that suck cannon, as displayed by the players tossing each other into a bottomless pit with it.
Sonic hates SOPAIt looks alright, I guess. Doesn't quite wow me as much as, say, Sonic Colors or Donkey Kong Country Returns, but still: it looks okay.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Meh. Looks like more of a spin-off. And I know that Ratchet and Clank is supposed to look cartoony, but it looks a little too cartoony.
As someone who owns every Ratchet and Clank game besides Size Matters, I think I'll give this one a miss.
We have a natural right to make use of our pens as of our tongue, at our peril, risk and hazard. ~VoltaireLooks like shit. I never thought Left 4 Dead would be the bandwagon for everyone to jump on (and don't tell me this isn't an obvious rip) but given how lazy its game design philosophy is, it makes sense for other developers to take a page from its book.
It's funny too, I remember hearing worries that the series would end up like Spyro, i.e., overdone and shit. And now that's exactly what happened. Even compared to the first PS 3 title (which sucked), the most recent R&C titles are extremely childish and shitty. Oh well.
AHAHAHAHAHA
OH WOW
-goes back to praying there's a RYNO in this game-

Half-Life: Dual Nature, a crossover story of reasonably sized proportions. This is my response to one of the trailers I found on IGN when I first saw it: WHAT THE HELL DID THEY DO TO RATCHET'S HEAD!?!!!!!!??
^^R&C has always been childish, but the newest title is like fucking sesame street compared even to its predecessors. Your laughter is meaningless.
Is this the newest title in question?
I think the co-op will be a cool feature. I am looking forward to this game. Oh, and please stop flaming this page, Mammalsauce. If you don't like the series, then get the fuck out of here. Oh, and this game is NOT a ripoff of Left 4 Dead. This is Ratchet and Clank x4.
Oh yes, mammalsauce, that will no doubt make them quake in fear at your wit and skill with language.
ᐅᖃᐅᓯᖅ ᐊᑕᐅᓯᖅ ᓈᒻᒪᔪᐃᑦᑐᖅThe game looks more like a mini-adventure like Quest For Booty rather than a full Ratchet and Clank game.
Also, knowing Insomniac chances are there will be hidden trophies for being a Griefer.
I had the mentality of "Ratchet & Clank can never be as great as Up Your Arsenal", but I still love the series. Then A Crack in Time came along, and I was convinced the series finally remembered its potential. So, rather than complaining like everyone else has been doing, I'll be getting this. To be fair, Left 4 Dead is an X Box 360 game, and I don't have the system, since I don't really care for games like that or Halo. This game is pretty much appealing to me by taking one of my favorite series, letting me play as Doctor Nefarious, and actually making me want to play more co-op games.
As for the graphics, yeah, it's a change, but I'm not about to declare the series Ruined FOREVER. Just give me a good story, a long campaign, and fun gameplay, and I'll be fine.
If we're defining L 4 D Clone as "4-player co-op", then yes, this is quite the clone.
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderI have given this game a try. It does not have the firepower of previous games but the Co-Op is unique. All players get to buy guns (through the vendors) some of character get their own distinct weapons. The co-op has a few co-op platforming sections (like Portal2) and some co-operative gunplay. All weapons work such that if all four players use the same weapon firing at the same target their weapon fires better. actual results vary by weapon.
Bolts are a free-for-all collection setup and rewards being greedy. I have only played the first 3 hours with two players but it seems like a solid game.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.I've been a fan of the R&C series since the beginning, and I'm definitely getting this one.
I think the 4-player co-op is a well-needed change to the classic R&C formula.
Interested in this one. Me and my bro always liked playing the multi in UYA * , so playing this will be extra fun. Fair warning to anyone spying us tho, you might want to stop listening when we start playing. It'll get real stupid, real fast.
