Finally the spirituality and airbending stuff is brought back up! I don't blame them, a lot of shit has been going down to focus on that. THEY ARE SO SETTING UP FOR THE NEXT EPISODE. THE EPISODE WILL BE FILLED WITH FLASHBACKS AND AWESOMENESS.
I can just picture Aang sitting in the spirit world being sort of grouchy about Korra not listening to him and complaining how Roku surely didn't have this much trouble.

I think the parallelism of the episode descriptors implies that "someone close" is Tarrlok, however much sense that makes. Then again, Hiroshi was described as "someone close" in the descriptions of The Aftermath too...

Oh I certainly don't think it's Asami. They're probably refering to Tarrlok, I just thought it was weird how it was worded.
Theory here, the episode title is When Extremes Meet. Maybe Tarrlok wants to go in a very extreme direction with handling the equalists. The extremes meeting could be Tarrlok's task force or some such and the equalists. I kind of like that idea because it implies Well-Intentioned Extremist type stuff.
Though there are people on tumblr thinking the two extremes meeting is Aang and Korra, though I'm not so sure about that.
I'm starting to think that when Korra goes into the spirit world she'll probably run into some sort of trouble whether it being with demons or not being able to leave. I think Aang actually had a similar problem when he first visited the Spirit World. I'm almost sure though when she goes to the Spirit World a few mysteries about Amon will be revealed.

It's a very very common complaint among her haters. I have to agree she is just a tad flat, but Mary Sue is just...I'm not even going to touch that. It just opens up a can of worms and leads to sad faces.

I don't understand that theory. Like at all. It always comes off as either Die for Our Ship or just really really intense paranoia. Like they're just looking for some sort of twist. The Legend Of Korra podcast guys insist on holding that theory, and it just makes them sound dumb.

It really just encourages such thinking. The guys vary from being pretty insightful to...really...erm, not astute. I mean supporting that theory and Korra Nation backing the podcast just makes the theory seem more...I don't know, legit than it really is.
