It's new, but it's not a big group hangout scene. In fact, if it even gets close to that it means you screwed up, cheater.
The Thunder in the classroom as really cute and added a 'girly' element to Chie along with the scared of bugs thing, which was a counterpart to Yukiko's loving of both, making the Tomboy and Girly Girl trope not quite as cut an dry.
No one liked Kanji actually getting a chance to be stupid on the beach?
The Concert was meh, agreed. It does set up someone far more than they did in the original game, which was nice.
The Ski Trip was literally the best.

I just find the average Beach Episode boring. Nothing interesting happened, just the typical beach episode gags.
I find it kind of irritating when games and whatnot need to make tomboyish girls more feminine. Kyaa, a mouse. Eek, thunder. Nooo, a caterpillar.
Get over it.
Let 'em dangle and being given the option for a jerk reply are all I actually remember about the beach event. And I think the girls didn't even hear your jerk response anyway because only Yosuke comments.
The thunder event was a pretty small scene mainly designed to introduce a new type of weather, I think.
Heart of StoneI thought that as well, but I do share Arha's sentiment all the same.
The new events in Golden are hit-or-miss but they're all better than the campout, at least.
I sure said that! You forgot the fireworks scene. I swear, I was screaming "let me DO SOMETHING!" I've watched so many of these! The entire summer is just jumping from cut scene to cut scene.
Also, Yosuke turns into a bigger douche every time.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerThe fireworks scene was awesome, it should have been in the base game considering its the biggest event of the year for small towns like Inaba.
Its one of the only times to reference your dating activities in the group. I wish they had done this so much more throughout the entire game.
Considering your avy I am surprised you are being so critical of events like that, Atelier Totori flat out ran on that more so than Persona 4.

The full voicework for the second trip to the festival was really nifty, too.
Poor Rise, finding that unflattering phone strap.
I sure said that!Even after you mentioned the fireworks scene it still took me a good thirty seconds to remember what happened. I think you could compliment Nanako on her yukata and Naoto was there for some reason even though you were really supposed to be at odds still? Everything else is basically a blur.
Lots of the Golden events just blur together for me.

Naoto was not there, they made comments on how since the case was done he might have left town. It further set up the surprise that Naoto started attending school a few days later.

Oh right, she wasn't there but they wished they could have invited her.
I'm kind of aghast I'm saying this, but maybe how Golden the Animation integrated the social events was how it should be done.
I suppose if you want better done socializing, go read fanfiction or find fan art.
If you don't want socializing you are playing the wrong damn game. Its an integral part of Dating Sims and the game is a Dating Sim. Same for other RP Gs with time systems like Atelier Totori and the rest of the arland trilogy.
These types of static events within a calendar system are 90% of the reason why you play these types of Dating Sims. In this case its your reward for beating the boss and progressing time wise, the plot certainly isnt moving.

As long as Persona 5 keeps the Fast Forward feature for future replays, I'm happy.
While the fact that it's locked behind New Game Plus is a little sad, I really like the custom difficulty option in Golden, where you can modify every factor individually- Want tough enemies and low experience but standard cash rewards? Then you got 'em!
I sure said that!I'm assuming there will be more opportunity's to hang out if the Cooperation's are supposed to maintain some form of relevance even if you finished them. So I guess more hang-outs with your buds or actual dates if you choose to enter a relationship with someone.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Been watching more of Persona 2.
The group have recruited Jun, and gone through the Taurus, Aquarius, Leo, and finally, Scorpio temples.
Once again, I'm convinced that we need more characters like Eikichi, then we need Yosukes (and this is as someone who jumps between liking and not much caring for Yosuke). He's just awesome not just in hammy ways, but (if the whole thing with Kozy is anything to go by) heartwarming ways as well. He's just a man of class to the very end.
One Strip! One Strip! For the record, the music in the Taurus Temple is, IMO, a beautiful and really underrated piece.
Agreed. Eikichi is my favorite character from Innocent Sin because of his personality. He's cocky like Teddie, but he doesn't have the obnoxious attitude that goes with it.
And then there's Baofu, who I find to be way more badass than Shinjiro.
Baofu has the honour of being the oldest Persona user in the entire franchise, and he's only 32 (which is japanese for decrepit old man).
Funny how there have been no adult persona users (who didn't start as teenagers) since then.
One Strip! One Strip!Does Adachi not count?
This song needs more love.Adachi being a villain who only became sympathetic after the fact, and not a party member, makes him almost not count.
Baofu's the oldest playable Persona user.

It's new.
