Except SMTIV also had plot-related DLC and extra levels. And it's not just fighting games. Atlus has made a ton of "updated ports" with Persona in the past. The content that would usually be made into updated ports these days usually ends up DLC as well.

So I checked and Adachi and Marie were free the first week in USA. This isn't the case in Europe for what reason?

Well, at least they haven't gone to what some companies has done, which is include DLC like extra characters and shit...and then released an updated version with more new extra content without even offering to make it DLC for the "old" version.

Double points if the old version's DLC is included on the new version for free. In other words, you wasted money buying the original release of the game and shilling out for extra stuff when you could have gotten the game, the extra stuff, and more extra stuff at the cost of just the original game if only you waited a bit.

Atlus hasn't gotten that bad yet...

I'm kinda neutral towards DLC. It obviously should bug me that there is extra stuff I can do with the game I have to pay for, but it usually doesn't. I really pardon it as long as its Atlus because I know they aren't the big companies that can afford not using DLC but do it anyways.

I think the only time it bugs me is with Marie in Ultimax and that's because she's just there to say she's canon, instead of using that Shadow Marie or showing what it was that she was fighting off screen that was kicking her butt while they dealt with the Red Fog and the Eva Knockoff.

It's a great flaw of mine, this expecting things people say to make sense. You'd think I'd have learned by now.

Damn. Either Labrys is a lot more popular than I realized or people just hate Metis.

It's a combo of Labrys being well-liked and not a lot of people liking The Answer.

I would chalk that more to Labrys having an entire game dedicated to her and another where she was quite important both of which were well-received, versus Metis, who only appeared on an epilogue to an already complete game, and which epilogue is something of a Base Breaker.

I'm more surprised that Margaret and Mitsuru are losing to be honest. I like Yukari but not more than Margaret and you would think Mitsuru would be more popular than Aigis.

Seeing screenshots of PQ thanks to people who already have the game is just making me like Theo more. He is the Buttmonkey amongst the attendants.

Also that Elizabeth ignores Marie, which pisses off the latter.
