Ain't lying, Vertigo. To hear people tell it Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is the darkest, most dreary franchise ever to reiterated the same point you just learned four seconds ago.

nah. mystery dungeon 2 is like the darkest among a wider franchise of pretty lighthearted things.

not really the darkest, dreary franchise ever. hell im pretty sure the dreary bit has no place anywhere near it.

unless you go by the "repetitive" definition

cuz mystery dungeon is like "lets try our best" all the way through and shiz and theres a fair bit of humor.

Interview with Soejima. So evidently, Lizzy is kooky because we made her out to be. (Then again, THAT YEN IN THAT FOUNTIAN)

I dunno, even in P3 she was a weirdo with hilarious ideas. I mean, this is the person who seriously pondered putting a jungle gym into the Velvet Room or turning it into the Velvet Club, slid down a slide on her feet, poured oddles of cash into water fountains, and ran up a down escalator.

And that is not even getting into some of the comments she gives in regards to quests.

I think it's more that Soejima designed her as a serious character, but the actual writers had more fun with her. It's true that Elizabeth is an otherworldly character, but Soejima seems to think she is more "impersonal god", while the writers interpreted her as more "alien coming in contact with human culture for the first time".

Yep.

The dates were, but she still commented on things you found in the quests of the original game.

Yeah they were.

Which means that while she may have been a little weird even to start with, her character has evolved into becoming an increasingly strange figure.

So basically Flanderization

I would say that made her more fan-beloved but I'm rather meh on the Velvet Attendants.

Yukari and Teddie.

Theo's grown on me since Ultimax. Seeing as he's his sisters Butt-Monkey.

I'll admit, he is pretty adorable.

Also, oh hey. People I'm going to have in my P4 team. Despite the fact I hear that Teddie isn't that great at all.

From what I've heard they are all pretty useful, especially Light/Dark users.

nice to see yukari acknowledging that the p3 crew werent really a group of friends.

its just kinda satisfying to see creators acknowledging something you've previously made a note of but arent sure if they're aware of it.

Yea, I do like how they're actually contrasting the two teams this time, something the Arena series didn't(Or rather couldn't) do.

Has she always pronounced it 'ee-oh'? Is that the proper pronunciation? I've always said it 'eye-oh'.

EDIT: ee-oh is right, apparently. Though the moon is eye-oh.

Yeah, I recall her pronouncing it like that in Portable.

Original Greek pronounciation is ee-oh. But the intonation is at the last syllable. English does this weird thing where it slaps the accents on the first few syllables.

Though I'm less sure of how the "k" sound in Kerberos became an "s" sound in Cerberus.

I'm almost completely certain Greek has no soft C. I don't think Latin does either, which sort of makes me wonder where it came from.

I know the letter J doesn't exist in Latin.
