Franken Fran

Franken Fran. First horror story that really makes me feel like screaming. Because of how casually it's treated. Becuase it's even darkly funny. It's so chilling... Drr Drr Drr is mildly worrying in comparison.

Anyhow, yeah, this series is pretty cool. Love the irony of many of the earlier chapters. Too bad this get's replaced by random Squick really fast.

I like this series, especially for the Nightmare Fuel/Squick.

Need to catch up, though, as haven't read the last few chapters.

Really like it, biological horror stuff like this is right up my alley.

Favourite story was probably either the one about the guy who got "better" eyes or the one with the tentacle monster that all the boys were getting off to.

I remember reading a couple of chapters on One Manga. It's probably the only manga that made me nearly puke my dinner. I'd fin Fran adorable if only she didn't lose her eyeballs in the first chapter...

^^ and ^: Oh yes. It makes you ask yourself if you might be the one who is wrong. The eyes chpter was awesome. The chrysalide chapter was just unnecessarily mean. The Paedo Bear chapter was incredibly cute! The suit has no genitals.

The end of the second chapter was probably the most horrifying thing I've read in manga, or any illustrated work for that matter. Everything else seems kind of underwhelming after that one though.

Everyone goes on about the later chapters so much that I thought I was the only one who noticed how terrifying that one was.

The fact that the author's intent at creating a twist ending was so blatantmade provided some Nigtmare Retardant to mildify the High Octane Nightmare Fuel.

But Fran sure is amazing. She lifted the curse of Longinus (WHERE is his LANCE? In Antartida?. AND she BUILT the FSM. SHE BUILT THE FREAKING FSM!!!!! Pirates!

It's a wonder that I like this series, knowing what usually irks me.

It was a Twist Ending that made perfect sense in context, though. Especially if you're at least a little familiar with insect mating habits.

NOT ALL INSECTS EAT EACH OTHER! The foreshadowing as one page before.

Franken's twist on Hachiko's story was NOT a Pet the Dog moment, chapter title notwithstanding! So GROSS. That dog could at least have worn clothes!

BTW, all links in Franken Fran don't work anymore, so I can't see if this squiks me out.(which is highly probable)
