Mikhail: You do not need such impressive machines when magic can do everything better.

Heba: Fair point there.

But technology is still helpful for mass producing stuff.

Yeager: that...hm...

Kyo: ...Hm? Does that weird you out or something?

Yeager: no, just hoping the governments aren't intentionally trying to turn children into warriors.

Kyo: Oh, it's nothing like that. There's not really supposed to be all these kaiju people walking around, but people like me got exposed to some really weird radiation and then we ended up like this.

Yeager: oh ok, that makes sense.

Mikhail: The advantages of a machine.

It may not be as powerful as magic, but it is easier to learn, and cheaper to build.

Kyo: Yeah, I can't imagine a government doing this on purpose... probably. Hopefully. >.>

Heba: Pretty much, yeah. Magic is tough to learn.

Yeager: yeah, I think that would be more trouble than its worth.

Kyo: It is a bit of a concern I have. I mean... what if there's someone like me with all these kaiju powers, and they're not such good people? It'd definitely be a bigger problem than a normal kaiju, that's for sure.

Mikhail: Like pilot skills.

Seth: Nope. They mostly just kill people... anything that has magic dwelling within it - which is basically every living being in my world - they seek to wipe out.

Mindy: Oh, howdy Asagi! Yeah, she's definitely a big one. All the horses on my farm are - it's be hard to ride a normal sized one, yknow?

Asagi: No kidding. Must take a lot to feed this mare. What's her name?

Seth: While I wouldn't call them smart, they are effective at killing. They're not a threat to be treated lightly.

Mindy: Oh, this is Belle. And yeah, she eats an awful lot... Then again, so does my family, so that's nothin new.
