Kris: Well, I was panicking a bit, so I wasn't quite thinking rationally...

Mana: *Is there* Hey guys- oh, a kitty! *pets the cat*

Vivian: @Kris I could tell.

@Mana Hey, Mana.

-The cat, not having vocal cords, can't exactly respond to Rock, but does seem to nod its head before it's petted by Mana and purrs happily-

Rock: -Looks a bit sad- Oh...

(...then Rika is immediately slashed. She tries to defend herself, to no avail, as that slashes her heart...)

Catherine: ...R...Rika...(she trembles)

(...and then, after the life flashes before her eyes, Rika falls to the ground. The young woman, who tried to defeat Golomois by herself, tried to be a proper hero, was immediately dead...)

...

(Catherine immediately runs to Rika, shaking...trying to heal her, but to no avail...)

RIKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!

(Catherine cries over Rika's corpse, and upon hearing a mother's mourning...Victoria, Michael, Alyx, and Andreus realizes what's wrong...)

Victoria: Guys...shoot the fucking tendrils down. Give it all you got! We gotta avenge Rika!

(the Lightspeed Rangers immediately use their V-Lancers to slash down the tendrils)

(...meanwhile, Catherine looks at Golomois, absolutely angry)

Catherine: ...how dare you. She never did any harm to you! Why did you think that you can kill someone who wasn't of true Grayson blood?!

(she glares coldly)

...why?

(Michael prepares to attack...)

Michael: Those who harm our family will never be forgiven! (he tries to use the Lunar Sword on Golomois...)

*Vriska isn't sure what to say about the cat thing any more, and she just waves hi to Mana*

   I told you. I will kill everyone that is close to you, so that you may properly feel the pain that your family inflicted upon my entire race before I finally end your life and the line of Grayson.   ]

-Golomois stops Michael's Sword with the dark greatsword, and keeps Michael locked in his stance.-

   Next...your son.   

-Golomois pushes past Michael's guard, and is suddenly up in his face. A malicious glow gathers around Golomois' clawed left hand, and he brings the claws up to rake across Michael's chest. Dark energies erupt from the attack, threatening to seep into the wounds that the attack may cause.-

Catherine: MICHAEL!!

(Michael screams in pain, and he's forcefully demorphed...he has a very frightened look on his face, shaking...)

...you don't have to kill my family nor my friends! I don't know what my ancestors did...why that brought you to kill my family...

(tears stream down)

But it doesn't have to be like this!

(she doesn't know if she wants to fight him or talk him down...she still has her sword handy, but...)

Kris: Hello Mana...

-He starts watching the cat again.-

Catherine: ...the whole fate bullshit?

(she has a dark look)

Let me tell you...I don't believe in fucking fate. Everyone is free to make their own choices. Myself included.

So stand down before this escalates, Golomois! Don't force me to destroy you!

-The cat is, well, being a cyborg cat. Nothing fancy-

   Fate? This is not a matter of fate, Catherine Grayson. This is a story written in blood, a chain of events stretching back to the time your ancestors wiped out my race. Death and revenge. That is all there is to it. There is no room for fate.   

-A black mist gathers around Golomois.-

   Beware the next half moon, Catherine Grayson. I shall come for your wife and friends again. Say your goodbyes.   

Rock: -Keeps petting, and looks thoughtful-

Catherine: ...

(she turns to the group, who are all stunned)

...

Alyx: Cath...

Catherine: ...

(then her Mama Bear tendencies rise up more)

You will not try to kill my family and friends. We'll find a way to stop you...before you kill anyone else!

(But what can I do?)

   Until our paths cross again.   

-Golomois disappears, and only a wisp of mist lingers.-

(Catherine then falls...and then she sobs. Michael looks at himself...)

Michael: ...what did he do to me...?

Dana: We'll need to get your wounds checked out, Mike.

Joel: Damn...I never thought I'd say this, but Queen Bansheera was a lot easier to defeat than this guy!

(Catherine crawls over to Kotohime...and then she hugs her...)

Catherine: ...I failed to save Rika and Michael...I'm no hero...I'm not even a good parent...I don't know what to do.

Kotohime: *hugs back weakly* Cath...you...you'll stop him... *coughs, but smiles* ...I know you will...

Rock: -Looks at Vivian- Hey Vivian.

(Catherine, tears still flowing, uses Grand Healing on Kotohime and any Lightspeed Ranger in the vicinity...)

Catherine: ...but I don't know if I should even kill him. He said something about my ancestors' sins...I'd like to know what the hell he's talking about...

I tried to stop him, but...(she sobs)

Today was a huge mistake...

(all the Lightspeed Rangers demorph and comfort Catherine, likewise with the remaining family members)

Vivian: Hey, Rock. I can see you're pretty attached to your new friend there.

*Vriska decides to take a closer look at the cat*

Mana: *waves back* This is a cute little robo-kitty you've got. Where'd you find it?

Rock: Yeah. After we return him, I think I want to adopt a cat.
