I actually like the taste of A1, but it's about as subtle as a punch in the mouth.
I don't mind it, I just prefer eating my steak sans sauce unless I end up with a bland steak, for the same reason I don't usually use soy sauce with my sushi: it's too easy to overpower the flavor.
Yeah, A1 is good, but hopefully unnecessary.
