For me, I like the Nico Nico Choruses, acapella covers, piano covers, english covers...oh, it really depends on the person doing it! I'm currently obsessed with Meiko's cover of Amazing Grace. Trust me, it's better than it sounds.

I agree; I haven't heard anybody talking about poor Chika since she was announced. Here's some more covers I had to do some unfortunate scouring to find.

Took me a while to warm up to the model, but it's pretty nice.

Everybody "knows" that Ritsu is just a six-year-old misanthropic boy with missiles embedded in his chest, but you tend to forget that when you see him singing so well.

He shows up in a few videos with Lily so much you'd think that they got a thing going on...

Well, this is kind of common with some Utaus, like Tei. Everyone knows her because of yanderes, cucumbers and traffic lights, but in the hands of the right producer, her voice can be simply beautiful. I added a couple of her songs to the perenially neglect awesome UTAU songs page.

Ritsu is the same thing, I added a few of his songs as well ( besides Lily/Ritsu is love, is life). One that I truly like is this, "Stomach Book", a really creative plot with a good song:

Apparently, there was a Hatsune Miku art exhibition going on at the New York Miku Expo, which ended 5 days ago (and started on the 9th; jeez, that's long for a convention). Apparently, Tetsuya Nomura of Square Enix was there showing off some special artwork and videos that he and Squeenix did exclusively for the art show. According to a Famitsu interview, he wouldn't mind doing another collaboration with Crypton on something Miku-related (possibly another Miku video game) in the future.

Oh yeah I remember there being a Miku playarts figure (along with Iron Man, Batman and Catwoman. Needless to say, I think Iron man and Miku are more likely to appear in a KH entry then the last 2, but I digress) was the figurine related to that expo?

Thanks anyways. They...weren't exactly what I was going for...but at least the girl in the first two seemed to be earnestly trying in a twisted way. The last one was just crazy/greedy, seemingly.
