They did the ending cue thing again. And it was wonderful. I'm a sucker for that sort of thing, 'tis true. But it was so awesome. (CMOA indeed)

Apparently, we got news of more of the dub cast. Long story short, everyone's back save our two Other Darrins (Hohenheim's still not confirmed, but Greed and Falman are). I'll be updating the character page now.;)

I guess that's good news then. I haven't seen any of them in anything else except Vic Mignogna (who was Kurz in Full Metal Panic!), but people seem to like the first FMA dub.

I guess it is.

I haven't watched FMA's dub in a while, but the general consensus is that it was great. Episodes 13 and 37 are an absolute riot in English.

Haven't seen any of them in anything else? I beg to differ. Granted, Armstrong was the role that got Chris Sabat Rescued from the Scrappy Heap...

Well that was...something. Pretty awesome episode. Also pretty disturbing.

Early spoilers for chapter 100...and they aren't good. To quote the OT thread at Game FA Qs...

"Ok, it seems that Father has decided on the 5th sacrifice. It's going to be Mustang...but how do we force him to perform human transmutation? By slitting Riza's throat of course!"

Fu and Buccaneer are also dead, and Hohenheim got absorbed by Father.

I read about those spoilers earlier today. It's funny, I've thought at some points that the series seemed very unwilling to ever kill off a heroic character (other than Hughes), and thought that Fuu and Buccaneer would be as far as the author would go. Thus, I share that Big "NO!".

GODDAMMIT I READ ELECTIVIRUS'S SPOILER

Can you guys please take the manga discussions somewhere else? I think it's reasonable for me to assume that I should be able to look at spoilers posted in the Brotherhood thread when I'm caught up to Brotherhood. I know that context should've made it obvious that it was referring to the previous post, but I didn't think.

I too, expected Brotherhood spoilers. I like keeping up with where the anime's at without actually watching it. I however do not like to be spoiled on stuff I haven't read yet.

It might've helped if you'd called it a chapter rather than an episode.

Well, he's not quite dead, his head is floating upside down in Father's body and can still talk. That may or may not be worse.

THIS IS NOT THE MANGA THREAD. CONGRATULATIONS ON SPOILING IT EVEN FOR THE PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T LOOK IN THE SPOILER TAGS THE FIRST TIME.

I'm not going to come to this thread anymore, even though Brotherhood is currently my favourite anime. I don't need any more spoilers. Thanks a fucking lot, guys. I've calmed down a bit. I made a thread for the manga; kindly move the discussion over there. I'd also appreciate it if you edited your posts to have tags so I don't have to close my eyes when scrolling down the page. (Although the damage has mostly been done by now, I'm afraid.)

How many episodes is it if I've seen up to the point where Scar beats the shit out of the Elric brothers?

Okay, then I've seen the first five episodes. Makes sense, two hours at like 20 minutes each.

27 was a Recap Episode, but I think it was better structured than most though. We'll be back to the plot next week.

I missed a bit of the opening due to lag, but what I did see was great. Ending song was our obligatory Winry ending (with a bit of Lan Fan and May), like Motherland.^^

Hmm, guess I'll just have to check it out for myself then. I stopped at ep 20. I'll do an FMA binge sometime this week.

Since I was and still am partaking in a Clannad marathon, I refrained from commenting on episode 26 or the whole manga spoiler incident. Anyway, the thing that jumped out at me was how the Alphonse at the gate reminded me of Wrath from the first TV series. It might have just been the hair though. Plus, this adaption is really different from the first TV series anyway, so any similarities seem pretty pointless to discern since we already have past the diverging point.

The new opening may have quite a bit of spoilers, but having not read the manga, I cannot really make heads or tails of much of it since I have little idea of who most of the featured characters in the opening are. If you really want to see a spoiler filled opening though, I would suggest checking out the first three seasons of Digimon and their openings. Almost all of the plot twists are shown in their openings.

By the way, I agree with Nyktos about the whole manga spoilers issue, but it has already been dealt with so I am not too concerned. Still, it seems like Brotherhood tends to attract quite a bit of manga readers discussing spoilers. That probably has to due with how Brotherhood did not start too long ago whereas the manga has been going strong for a while.
