Bet you can't guess what I thought of the panda thing. *

I guess it is.I believe we've entered the Nightmare Fuel pit. Again. Taking this sin a tad too far, aren't you Gluttony?
LOL at at least one fansub mistaking "Raasu" (Wrath) for "Rasuto" (Lust).XD
Hooray for more badass Ling! But damn, two cliffhangers at once...and that next episode preview didn't even make sense.
Also, is it just me or does Roy look different in this episode?
I guess it is.I have to second your opinion that the next preview made no sense. Brotherhood sure seems to be really action packed right now and with the whole military conspiracy already revealed I wonder how the rest of the series will play out. I doubt there will be this much action for the rest of the series, but it does seem like there are not fillers this season so maybe it will keep up at this pace. Nevertheless, I found the cliffhangers this episode to be pretty intense. First I basically did a double take with the whole Edward swallowed thing because it seemed so different from the first anime. In the first anime I feel like that type of thing would happen near the end rather than nearly midway through the series (assuming it goes 51 episodes as some people have said). Then the Mustang cliffhanger led to quite a bit of Fridge Logic to me. You are right now, Roy seemed to look a little weird this episode.
"irhgT nm0w tehre might b ea lotof th1nmgs i dont udarstannd, ubt oim ujst goinjg to keepfollowing this pazth i belieove iN !!!!!1 dI've seen people claiming episode counts as low as 45 and as high as 63. As far as I know we don't have a confirmed number yet.
I guess it is.And recently I've been hearing 60 to 70, which is more likely.
We got dub announcements! Al and Scar have indeed had their VAs replaced — Al will now be played by Maxey Whitehead (Antonio in Romeo X Juliet, Czeslaw in Baccano), and Scar will be the same as it was in his brief chibi appearance — J. Michael Tatum. It's hinted that Aaron will be playing someone important, and pretty much all of us are thinking Ling Yao.
Isaac MacDougal will be played by Bryan Massey (Ladd in Baccano, Dragon in One Piece).

This will be the first time I actually get to watch a dub of a series I've already seen subbed, so that will be pretty cool.
I guess it is.Ugh. Usually I don't watch things subbed if I'm planning to watch the dub. It makes the voices sound all wrong, and then it annoys me. >_<
I got used to the Azumanga Daioh dub voices fast enough. Mind you, I never saw the whole thing subbed, just a bunch of clips.
I guess it is.Hey, if it's anything like the first anime's dub (which I know it will be), I'll be thrilled to watch it.
Ditto, this is definitely going to count as Superlative Dubbing due to keeping most of the main cast. I'm impressed a few fans accurately predicted Maxey for Al, this'll be my first time listening to a role of hers so this gives me some confidence she'll do well.
EDIT: I got to watch 25 live. Envy, you sick motherf—dawwww, Al/Xiaomay/Gluttony cuteness! And May's backstory~

Episode 25...I loved the way Ed and Ling made sure neither of them was Envy. Also, ELRIC TELEPATHY!
I can't be the only one having Azumanga Daioh flashbacks when watching how May Chang and Shao May met. With last episode's ending, I never expected this one to be so funny...the first half anyway.
Edit: Oh, and Envy's true form is now my wallpaper for October.

I guess it is.Whoa, didn't catch the Engrish on my live watch ("Erurikku Terepashii~"). LOL.XD
And thinking about it that DOES seem to have a slight reminder of Azumanga! Sakaki only wishes she could be this damn adorable instead of Tall, Dark and Bishoujo. (Did she really use "bearcat" to define Xiaomay's species?!)

It seems like the last episode definitely continued the action-packed series of episodes that have been airing lately. Some of the earlier episodes seem like they aired so long ago to me. That may be just because their content was more similar to the first show, but the plot just seems to keep accelerating with no stop in sight. I guess that is part of the reason why people have speculated about the possibility of it being a 60 or 70 episode series.
As soon as I saw Envy's true form I immediately thought of it as an Eldritch Abomination. The whole situation seemed a little odd especially since it appeared as though it did not really need to appear. Still, I am liking how the plot is going so far and I am happy to be watching it rather than reading it because of the amount of action as of late.
While I may not be having Azumanga Daioh flashbacks, I was kind of confused about the whole bearcat thing because I was not really clear on what a bearcat was. May Chang seems like an interesting character though. Still I do wonder what Scar is going to do and if there will be a Heel–Face Turn on his part.

"irhgT nm0w tehre might b ea lotof th1nmgs i dont udarstannd, ubt oim ujst goinjg to keepfollowing this pazth i belieove iN !!!!!1 dOh goody, you're up to this bit.
I haven't been watching the anime, you see.
@Louie W: It's likely that (almost) nobody in Amestris has heard of a panda before, so it makes sense she wouldn't call it one.
I guess it is.Oh okay, but it actually makes the Running Gag of her being called a cat make sense now. Wha...?
That aside, I love her little sounds/mewing.
It appears to have been confirmed for 63 episodes. I find this amusing, because iirc that was the first number that was given.
I guess it is.Yeah, I recently saw how the length has apparently been announced. I am not quite sure if that is set in stone, but 63 episodes does sound like a lot especially when you consider that the first series was 51 episodes long and went at a considerably slower pace. There were actually episodes that could be considered filler in the other series, but Brotherhood seems to have avoided filler so far. The long length makes sense though considering the manga is not quite done yet or so I have heard.
"irhgT nm0w tehre might b ea lotof th1nmgs i dont udarstannd, ubt oim ujst goinjg to keepfollowing this pazth i belieove iN !!!!!1 dThe end of 26...damn. First a chilling moment in the last ep, now an added CMOA for Ed here. It's getting better and better...
Next week seems to pick up the slack with Hohenheim. Hopefully he gets a bit of characterization back.
Characterization? Have they given his backstory yet?
He's only showed up once so far.
I guess it is.I'll take that as a no.
I remember hearing that a few people were disappointed that he was all uber-serious in his first appearance.
The SD/Chibi-ness is in the spirit of the original Manga. I like it. They need something to lighten up that story, haha. Actually, I really liked the panda's reaction, with Al dropping to the top of the food chain :)
And the end of 21 is hardly Narm. That scene is one of the focal scenes of the entire manga, IMO, and it was really well done. Giving it such a high beat point is what it deserves. It's a sort of "She deserves her revenge...and I deserve to die" type thing. Scar's evil isn't actually worse than the evil of the alchemists during the Ishban war...it's just current, and it makes the heel-belly button turn believable
In any case, it's getting better and better with every episode I think.
