I hope they don't tone down the gore. It's a zombie show.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyWell, it's weird. Gale Ann Hurd said they were toning it down, but Scott Gimple and Greg Nicotero said they aren't.
So new episode
"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."That car scene was great.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Ok, I love the black comedy in this episode, gregory being and asshole was funny, "RETHORICAL!", good what a asshole.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"I wished we had had just a *little* bit more of Negan in this episode, so we could have compared four different leadership styles of four different groups.
Maybe five, if those are indeed the Whisperers.

I suspect the lack of Negan was due to most of the cast being on-screen this episode. JDM is probably needed for the "All-Out War" episodes.
I wish I knew what Rick was smiling about.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Damn good episode.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyTonight's Episode: Rick Grimes, Beyond Thunderdome!
Also, Daryl channels Don Vito Corleone.
Ceterum censeo Morbillivirum esse eradicandum.I was expecting that, if "Easy Street" were to return this episode, it would be when Negan's goons beat down Dwight.
Also, I really want to hear an Easy Street / Theme Song mashup.
Didn't care for the "New Best Friends" episode, but this Eugene-centric one is a hoot. We got a lot of humanizing moments for Dwight, Negan, and Eugene. I like how we got to see some of the more humane Saviors.
Eugene was pretty hilarious this episode too.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I take it back - Dwight is a dick.
And Negan just beat the only doctor we've seen in Camp Savior to death.
EDIT: Or maybe...
EDIT 2: Oh my god.
EDIT 3: He threw him into the fire.
That is so f'cked.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Not quite the take on Zombieland I expected tonight. Still a good episode, enough twists to keep it interesting.

I just liked seeing so much Richonne.
Though so much went right for them that it paradoxically made me very nervous.
I can't wait for next Sunday to see what's going on with Carol and Morgan.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyI think Dwight is a character who really should horribly die.
There's no room for him in a show with Daryl.
Eugene's actions make perfect sense to me, though.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.I really hated Dwight until he went looking for his wife. Then, he became slightly more sympathetic. Slightly. I would not be averse to him suffering for the people he has hurt, though.
"Bury Me Here" was a slow burn, but it became one of my favorite episodes of this show ever. I was floored.
Morgan was always an interesting character, but now, he's one of my favorites. Lennie James is such a great actor.
However, I have this fear that Morgan will be killed by the Saviors. The more I think about it, the more I think this is a mission that Morgan does not intend to return from. That is probably one reason why he told Carol what really happened to the others.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyBy narrative logic, Morgan has to die. He has just experienced a moment that has redefined his entire philosophy. So, he will go on a redemption/existential quest that will inevitably result in his death.
This is a signature.Last episode spoilers: If Morgan makes it past next season's mid-point I'll be very surprised. His scenes in the second half of the last episode comes off as him being on a suicide course and taking care of all his affairs now.
Comic spoilers: I think he's one of the characters on the show who are better than their comic counterpart, especially seeing as by this point in the plot he's been dead for awhile. The Death Flags for the show were raised when he mistook Benjamin for Duane, since his second last scene in the comic had him confuse Carl for Duane.
But my feels ;-;
If Morgan had to go down, he better go down swinging and take down one of the main Saviors: Dwight, Negan's right-hand man, that bastard who shot Benjamin, or that bitch who shot Olivia.

I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyI was really looking forward to a Sasha-Rosita bottle episode. Instead we got a Sasha-Rosita/Maggia-Daryl bottle episode. Hmm.
Not happy that Sasha apparently went out with four bangs and a whimper; if they wanted to Put Her On A Bus, they could have left things a little more ambiguous. In my own headcanon, though, the Saviors put her in the zombieyard, and Eugene has to deal with seeing her every day. He did ask for more zombies, after all....
It's been a while since they've had a recurring zombie character.
It was pretty heart wrenching to see Eugene refuse to be rescued. Up until this point, I was sort of under the impression that he was just playing along with Negan's game and waiting for the right moment to strike. But if his behavior at the end of the episode is any indication, I was dead wrong. Negan broke him.

I love to learn, I love to yearn, and most of all... I love to make money. He still may be plotting. For all we know, he'll sabotage their security from inside. In order to do that, he has to be inside. Remember when we all thought Gabriel had betrayed the group?

Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youI think that Gabriel would be unsure about Eugene's loyalties anymore, but also hopeful that he will get out alive and return to Alexandria.
Last night's episode was kinda boring. I hope that the last two episodes of the season make up for it.

^Which is really stupid because the show has always been gorey. Stuff like Dale getting gutted by a zombie, Noah's absolutely brutal death, the opening scene of the Season 5 Premier, anytime that someone gets Devoured by the Horde, etc. Yet apparently it's only two characters getting their heads smashed in with a baseball bat that's suddenly "Going too far" {It was really violent, yes, but it's not really any worse then most other really violent deaths in the show}.
Or if someone's going to try and argue that it's moreso the psychological aspect or the ruthless tragedy of it and not the gore turning people away, what about Season 3 when Maggie had to cut open Lori alive in order to save the baby, and then Carl had to shoot Lori, his own mother, afterwards so that she wouldn't turn into a zombie? Nobody complained about how brutal that was in either the gore or the ruthless sadness of it or anything. Or what about when The Governor chopped off Hershel's head while Rick's entire group was completly helpless to stop him {Aside from Rick shooting Governor in the arm, which barely slowed him down}.
