[up] Actually, from what I hear, the "fan favourite" in trouble is supposed to be Carol, who is missing by the end of the episode But, in that case, I'd suppose that we are operating on a VERY loose definition of fan favourite.

Ok, show of hands. Who didn't expect Lori to have the baby when things went to hell? tongue

Also, better send-off for T-Dog than I would've expected, had I know of it in advance (specifically avoided spoilery stuff, which is why I left this thread unread for a week).

Lori and T-Dog are dead and Carole is MIA.

Well, at least T-Dog got a dignified death.

Can't really say the same for Lori (sure, she took a c-section with no anesthetic, but c'mon, at least put her back pants on before blowing her goddamn brains out).

I'm worried about him. After capping Lori he looked ready for more blood.

He's either going to go postal or start diving into herds of walkers for fun.

In what way?

So... they really did not hide the fact that Carol's actress had grown out her hair well.

For once Carl did something right. We'll be better off without Lori, but I still think T-Dog should have had some actual character development. I mean, he's been around since season one, and all he's done is be clumsy and now die. I bet the only reason they killed him off was that there are two other black characters who are going to join the group.

I'm disappointed T-Dog never really did anything worthwhile, but hey still a good death.

Oh look Talking Dead agrees.

@Mukora: A kid had to shoot his own mom, for Chrissakes. That's pretty dark even for this show. I honestly wasn't expecting T-Dog to die. I also thought that the baby was gonna be a stillborn and that Lori would live, not the other way around. Also, if the previews are any indication, Lori's death might just make Rick lose what's left of his mind.

I was asking how he found it hard to watch. Emotionally, technically, visually, et cetera.

You know, until tonight I assumed that they were only keeping T-Dog alive to save him for a Merle/T-Dog confrontation. Now, I'm thinking that they killed him off for the opposite reason. They got rid of him in order to prevent him from being apart of that storyline.

After all, any grudge that Merle has with T-Dog, he already has with Rick. It would've been nice to see them together again, but ultimately, Rick is more important and Merle's vengeance upon him was always going to be more of a focus. The best T-Dog could've pulled off in that story line would've been to get murdered by Merle. At least, he pulls off a Dying Moment of Awesome this way.

I wonder if, ad it will seem like I'm snarking but I'm not, if Carl will be more traumatized by killing his mother or seeing her nether parts and if in future he'll associate the two in his mind.

So, what, they're getting a newer black guy so they kill the older black guy off?

[up] Sort of. There would have been too much overlap in their characterization otherwise. So far we know as much about Oscar as we did about T-Dog which is to say nothing. One of them would have been redundant had both survived the incident. Since you really don't need two black dudes who don't say much.

Also this reminds me of Dale's death in that one character advocates showing mercy, gets ignored/overruled by everyone else, and ends up dying. Horrifically. Is it a Take That! to showing mercy or just coincidence?

To be fair... We don't know much about Oscar because he was forced to stay in the other cell block, no one cared enough to speak to him over the past however long it's been, and has only just showed the group(meaning: Rick) that they can trust him, somewhat...

It's hard to blame Oscar for not talking when no one has ever bothered to speak to him over the past 3 episodes... T-Dogg never really had that excuse...

So did the wimpy prisoner whose name I forget die? He kind of disappeared half-way through.

[up][up] Otis. He's alive and helping dig a grave - Lori's - in the extended preview on the AMC site.

[up] Axel, actually. Otis was the man that Shane murdered. And, Axel can be seen at the end watching Rick's breakdown, so I assume that he just ran off to wherever Glenn disappeared to.

Glenn did go over to them at the very end. But he and Axel both seemed to disappear just before Rick, Daryl, and Oscar went into the generator room. They both show up again at the very end and Axel can be seen among the crowd when they learn about Lori's death.

[up][up] Oh yeah. They split up after they got back to the cell block and found it empty. They ran into each other afterwards right before they found T-Dog's corpse. They were supposed to be looking for the others and making their way to the generator room. I think.

[up] It'd be weird if she ended up just like Sophia, wouldn't it? Missing for a while and the next time we see her she's a walker.
