Wow, I haven't heard from the D Si in a long...long time. So how is it? A big improvement from DS? Is it just a DS with a camera? I hear that it has a smaller battery size....
"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."Huh, so I DID buy this thing for a reason. Thank god i didn't sell it.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.I wish I had a D Si. Just to play this game.
The original Shantae is my gaming homeslice.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~Madrugada^ SAAAAME.
I dreamt a night ago that the DSi port 'didn't work out' so they made it a straight DS game. I kinda wish it were true. :( Also it had an epic swordfight between Shantae and Risky, with the swings and button presses timed to the music.
What makes this worse is that I HAD A COPY of the GBC game....and misplaced it or sold it. Because it was 'too hard'.
i tend to rebuy old games that disappeared...not one for emulation...
I hope i can get the original game again. :)

The Protomen enhanced my life.Once this comes out, it's moving to the very top of my download list, ahead of Dragon Quest Wars and Mighty Flip Champs (another WayForward DSi title worth checking out).
I'd like to have a non-emulated copy of the original, but because of its rarity asking prices of $70-$100 seem to be the norm.

I hope you get tiny bits of eggshell in all your omelettes for the rest of your life!I'm glad I still have my copy. :D I love using the Tinkerbat transformation everywhere, especially the way it runs.

The Protomen enhanced my life.I primarily play on my GBC now, but I'd make an exception for that. XD I'm currently watching the Let's Play of the original linked to on the mini-site.

"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaI sure hope this is true, 'cuz, man, I need some form of justification for having bought a D Si.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Nintendo Power's been gushing about this for almost a year. I'm interested, but I don't own a DSi, nor have I played the original game. I'm one of those guys that likes to play a series from the start.

Weird in a Can (updated M-F)I may pick up the original. Depending on how rare it is to find a copy I may either hit up the flea market or the used game shop across town, or just (REDACTED), although I prefer to have legit copies of GB/Color/Advance games as I have no way to emulate them on a handheld at the moment.
http://twitter.com/raydere | http://raydere.tumblr.comI got Link 'N Launch on D Siware, I haven't slept well since. Plus that notepad program is pretty handy. It's also got Bomberman, nuff said.
Point is, D Siware seems to be very much worth it if you know where to look.
^^ On Amazon copies go for $100 USED...
The Protomen enhanced my life.I got mine for $15 at a local used games place a couple years ago.
Then they got a "Rare Games Case" and one sits there for something like $75, alongside a mint boxed copy of The Neverhood.

what the crap did I just watch
and why am I laughing so hard
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaYou know, while I can't really link to it for anybody who didn't download the soundtrack, have never played Shantae in any of its forms (or form rather), I would like to say this.
The Last Battle is several kinds of crazy awesome. I wish I had a D Si.
"People are calling me stupid on the internet."I actually read the original article and review of the game in Nintendo Power, the enemies and female antagonist reminded of me Wario Land.
Years Later I thought about it again and felt like getting a used copy. I went to ebay and the game cost over 100 dollars!
:< I need to get it...
The Protomen enhanced my life.I like how the soundtrack trailer even mentions the original's ludicrous eBay price.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaI beat the first level, but I never actually got farther than that.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!
Nintendo Life reports that the much-anticipated Shantae sequel will be on its way to DSiWare in about two short weeks.
If I weren't as strapped for cash right now, I'd snap up a DSi and buy this bad girl in an instant. I completely missed out on the first game, but I vow not to make that mistake again.
NOTE: This is just mild speculation, as I've yet to see an official notice on the release date from WayForward's website or their Risky's Revenge microsite.
I hope you get tiny bits of eggshell in all your omelettes for the rest of your life!
