You mean End Of Evangelion? The MP Evas haven't shown up yet in Rebuild.
Finally back from involuntary hiatus. What did I miss in the past 10 or so pages that I hopped over?
Probably would've resulted in a proto-Gurren Lagann ending, IMO. Shinji looked as close to being primed-up on grim determination and near-suicidal bravery as he could've ever been right before he discovered Asuka's fate.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Have a Q, i never got around to watching this series, i was too young when it was on the air, and ive been trying to find eps. I have already watched Gurren Lagann, Im wondering if its worth my time to find a set of DV Ds or something.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXkI1sTDoEgIf you don't want to waste your money, you could always try to find a free-download link. That's how I got it myself, since there's no in heck it would be ever sold around here, and the local mail-order service sucks big time.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Ah so pirating it is lol
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXkI1sTDoEgYou can probably buy it off Amazon, that's how I got my DVD set.
Found mine in a pawn shop myself.
And yes, it's worth watching.
It's definitely worth watching. Good shit, man, don't forget to bring your joints for the finale.

If you are going to get the series on DVD, I highly recommend the Platinum Thinpak, which shouldn't be too hard to find. It doesn't take up too much space, it is easy to get out the discs, and it has the director's cut episodes.
We're all still aliens.Seconding that. When I bought it, it was around 80€ new(-ish), but a pre-owned version should be cheaper.

Yup sounds like I'm going hunting.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXkI1sTDoEgSo, Shinji needs other people to tell him he's great to feel great, Asuka needs to be better than people she believes she's above to feel great....and Rei is....
I still don't understand the drawback of Rei.
Bad codecs makes the whole world blind. And most of that is due to being Raised by Gendou Ikari.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I remember reading a Princess Maker Lets Play where Gendo was the parent, a drunken and (hilariously) abusive parent. He was seen playing that VN of Evangelion and he kept getting Shinji into the Kaworu ending.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.
You mean the Shinji Ikari Raising game. I still have that in my Hard drive. Lots of fun in that one, though I personally haven't gotten the Kaworu ending yet. The one I usually get (because I like grinding Shinji's stats and generally make sure that Misato does her work on weekends) is the "College Ever After" ending, or "Marriage A x S style".
Hilariously, it's also easy to flub up and basically get a redux to the TV series... except with a different partner for Shinji when he wakes up post-Impact. In my case, instead of Asuka, it was Mana, but that was probably because I joined the Music Club for the interaction bonuses.

We're all still aliens.Question: There's a Neon Genesis Evangelion: Anima light novel series that takes off a few years after TV episode 24, right? What the story behind it? And more specifically, why didn't Gendo initiate Third Impact after all Angels were destroyed?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.
Something came up immediately afterward, from what I read. Someone from EVA Geeks can probably answer it better, but it continues from the assumption that Episode 25 and 26 (and by extension Eo E) never happen, as Gendou apparently dies or disappears before that.
A bit of a warning though, ANIMA kind of runs on the type of crack one would find in Shinji 40k or Nobody Dies. For example Shinji isn't really Shinji anymore, but a a flesh avatar of EVA-01, and Asuka permanently merged with EVA-02, creating what looks like the Valsione-R from SRW, but as an Evangelion instead. And it gets all the more weirder when Hikari refers to the latter by name and actually talks to it.
Oh, and it has Mari as a literal catgirl.

Only one thing in that spoilertagged text I didn't know about beforehand (the rest I found out from the comments on a few Gelbooru images), and somewhat resembles a fanfic idea of mine.
And as for Mari... AFAIK nobody knows if it is Mari Illustrious Makinami, or a new character that is a deliberately thinly-veiled a Captain Ersatz of the Rebuild character.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.
It doesn't help at all that the use of the name/word Mari on both sides of the official/fanwork divide — existing as an acronym in the former if I remember right, and a pet favorite name for Touji's sister in the latter. It might just be a confluence of influences, or because it's because the name is easy on the ears and to say. Who knows really?
Acronym? What do you mean? This is the first time I hear of this.

Anybody else really wish that Shinji had rescued Asuka from the mass-produced Evas in Rebuild of Evangelion?
