Nice. I'd like to add—though maybe you skipped over this because it's so obvious— that Jade is accustomed to always knowing what's happening next, and to being provided for completely, with an omnipotent guardian, a big spacious house, a beautiful island home and the most advanced technology in the world. She had material and supernatural luxuries no one in reality will ever have, and suddenly all of it is gone and she's in a climate that's exactly the opposite of the one she was raised in. In some ways, she's lost the most out of all the kids, because she had the most to lose.
