Speaking of trading. A trainer called May request a trade. May traded a Volcanion for my Larvesta.

Granted, that Volcanion wasn't actually great since it has a Gentle nature with its Special Attack being relatively low, but still.

Now I know how my mother felt when she bought her very first smartphone. Apparently there's game chat that lets you use your microphone to talk to people, like it's a PC game. But it's not. It's a DS. How did they even fit all that software in there, on top of the 3D? Holy shit.

Back in my day, you had to find the one other kid in the whole neighbourhood that had a gameboy and ask to borrow it and use your thirty dollar link cable that you had to ask your parents to buy you for your birthday that only sometimes worked so you could trade by yourself.

And now I'm just trading Pokemon with people from Japan. Good god.

The pentagon means the Pokemon in question was caught/born in a Gen VI game (X/Y/OR/AS). Having that is a requirement for a Pokemon to participate in the Battle Spot ladders/VGC unless otherwise stated.

I've never noticed it being in different colors, though. It's always blue in my games, at least.

I'm pretty sure none of the Gen VI games came with instruction booklets and yours was packaged correctly.

No, I mean the big pentagon by its name.

[up]the hell?

That's also dumb.

Why would I need two promo pamphlets anyway?

just for shits and giggles I looked up Magikarp on the GTS

level 100 Shiny magikarp named P3NIS-SKIN for a Hoopa

so basically the GTS appears to be mostly made of youtube commenters

I believe that indicates the region to which that Pokemon species is native, though I can't remember which color corresponds to which region off the top of my head (I just know the ORAS Pokedex uses colors to indicate which species is from which region).

The pentagon next to its dex number? If so that tells whick Kalos dex it's in. White is Central, blue is Coastal, red is Mountain.
A fully colored pentagon in other places means you have that Pokemon registered in your dex as caught in a Gen VI game. A Pokeball symbol means it's caught, but transferred from a Gen III-V game.

deposit a pokemon and ask for one in return, that works far better

usually the good requests are quickly snatched up by the millions of players actually playing the game so garbage like Level 1 Reshiram roam wild

Huh, I just noticed that the Breeding Reject Poliwag I got a week ago was a shiny. That reminded me how I've been meaning to set up a weather team, with Politoed in it.

Any of you gents feel like helping me out with the trade evo? Don't know anyone trustworthy that isn't an Anon I met.

Alternatively, if you're looking for a specific Pokemon then ask here. We've got a couple of breeders.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!

This week, I got my wifi-distro Zygarde. Next two weeks it will be Xerneas and Yveltal.

I'm now looking for that Takara-Tomy Moncolle toyline action figure of Serena.

Well I live in an apartment with no real internet in the weekday but I'll try my phone's trashy connection. PM me for trade evo.

edit: Up to about 4-5 hours beforehand to the time of this post each day would be the best times as I'm either sleeping or in the office otherwise.

Neato, I'll PM the info.

Somethings been on my mind now; what could be the best typing for the minimum amount of weaknesses?

Edit; while getting access to the most amount of anti-everything else moves

I believe Ghost/Dark is the best. One (admittedly common) weakness. THREE immunities, especially Normal and Fighting. Resisting Poison is not that sexy but it's there.

Depends how you want it.

These days, the only Pokemon with no weaknesses is Eelektross, being an Electric type with the Ability Levitate, nullifing its Ground weakness.

There are Pokemon with only 1 weakness, but it's a x4 weakness. Water/Ground is x4 weak to Grass, Bug/Steel and Grass/Steel is x4 weak to Fire, and i think that's it.

Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*

Grass/Steel is also weak to Fighting, one of the best offensive types.

[up][up] Water/Ground is also weak to Freeze-Dry.

Electric/Steel has a nasty weakness to Ground, plus weaknesses to Fire and Fighting, but it also has the most resistances out of any type combo I believe. Resists Rock, Electric, Grass, Psychic, Flying, Bug, Normal, Steel, Ice, Dragon, Fairy, and is immune to Poison.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!

Actually I think Steel/Fairy is the best defensive combo, with only Fire and Ground weaknesses but a whole bevy of resistances and two immunities.

[up] Not to mention Klefki specifically can turn that Ground Weakness into an immunity with Prankster Magnet Rise.

Lesse.

Resists Rock, Grass, Psychic, Flying, Bug, Normal, Ice, Dark, Fairy, and is immune to Dragon and Poison.

Less resistances, but an additional immunity and fewer weaknesses, so yeah, probably better overall.
