That is one complex Diglett line.

On the other hand, Arbok makes the transition surprisingly well.

I like gen 5's starters over gen 6, who I think is the worst overall.

Infernape is tops.

As far as starters are concerned VI > III > IV > V > II > I to me.

I like all of the VI and III starters, but VI wins to me for having my favorite starter.

Judging by your avatar, I'm going to guess that's...hmm....

III's starters are my favourite. I like most of the others, but Gen V is definitely worst in that regard, closely followed by Gen II. I love them all unlike V but they just have no moves and GF doesn't seem interested in giving them any. Gen I and IV are about the same for opposite reasons — I love Torterra and hate Venusaur and love Charizard and hate Infernape (not for what it is, but because its presence is responsible for Emboar).

Best to worst III > VI > IV > I > II > V.

For the starter sets as a whole, Gen VI > Gen I > Gen III > Gen IV > Gen V > Gen II for me. That being said, Megnamium is the only starter I'm iffy on; I like all the rest of them.

For individual starters, Charizard is my favorite by virtue of being my favorite Pokemon in general (overrated as it is), followed closely by Greninja.

Starter sets is III > VI > V > I > II > IV, for me. Gen 3 gets biased-gen-3-being-starter-gen and Gen IV was just...eh to me. Gen I suffers from overhype.

@Balloon mons: It's a shame they're only doing the 151, I'd love to see them do the Driftloon line.tongue

What should I breed? I've gotten to the point where I've laid out every single team I'm going to make in RSEFRLG and I'm feeling like experimenting with eggs. I've already bred a Dratini with Dragonbreath, and earlier an Ariados with Signal Beam and a Treecko with Dragonbreath to make up for its abysmal movepool. What else could be fun? Just name off Pokemon you guys like.

My personal rank set would be 4 > 1 > 5 > 3 > 2 > 6

The megas sort of bump 3 over 2.

Quick question: I got a New 3DS XL today and, in my eagerness to try out the hunting of monsters all the kids talk about, I did the system transfer from my old 3DS. In a moment of brilliant clarity, I agreed to delete the old data off the SD card after the transfer completed.

What this leaves me with now is all my Pokemon Alpha Sapphire data on the new Micro SD (along with another game or two's save data) but with no room to download the game onto it.

On a scale of 1-10, how badly did I screw myself over? (Note: I had about two and a half boxes of IV bred and EV trained Pokemon.)

re: E Vii

You can actually save game files from a cart using some sort of 3DS application, and I believe there might be a way save 3DS saves to a computer? But I'm not entirely sure - from what I understand Nintendo's kind of anal about things like that.

It's not that difficult of a problem to fix. You still have the save data, right? If you do, then try this:

  1. Copy the data on your MicroSD card to your computer. If you don't have the right port to connect the card, you'll have to buy a USB adapter.
  2. Buy a bigger MicroSD card.
  3. Copy the data onto your new card.
  4. Redownload AS.

If I can keep my Pushmo save file using this method, you should be able to keep your ORAS save data.

Non of the Jhoto starters stand out design wise nor competitive wise. Typhlosion had CS Eruption and Feral got DD, but they are so far in the shadows they might as well be like Torterra.

Yeah, Meganium is really cool.

...And I suppose the other two aren't awful.

Thanks for the advice, by the way. I just need to check tomorrow for a screwdriver (why they put the Micro SD slot in such an annoying location is beyond me) and a new Micro SD (and to think I had just bought a new regular SD card a few months ago...)

I think they're all great but it'd be nice if they had more moves. I never like using the same moveset twice and they make that very hard to do.
