Ain't that an Overly Narrow Superlative. Really, I hope that by gen VII they modify Stance Change so that it needs a specific move (Sacred Sword?) to go into Attack Stance rather than just any offensive move.

Go and get your Bank Hidden Abilities Starters!
Got mine :D
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! What would you say is the generation the majority of people say is best?
Currently writing something. Currently procrastinating.That's.... a pretty hard question. Gens I through III get brought up a lot. Gen IV kinda gets overshadowed by the others. Gen V is liked a lot because of the story.
Personally a big fan of gen II.
Louder than God's revolver and twice as shiny.I'm most fond of Gens II and VI.

I mean, it stands to reason that they considered it roughly equivalent to all the other Elite Four signature mons, right? So Noivern, Barbaracle and... vanilla Talonflame?! Wow, yeah, no.
PS: By the way, Wobbuffet was Uber before for its standard ability.

Gen III is my favourite. I really do like Gen IV, but it's obnoxiously slow, and while it does have some of my favourite Pokèmon designs (Froslass, Garchomp, Togekiss, Carnivine), it also has some of my least-favourite (Electrivire and Magmortar).
My favorite is V. I feel like a lot of people say HGSS is close to perfect as a single Pokemon game, though. I think it's...pretty good.
Currently writing something. Currently procrastinating.Electivire and Magmortar are my poster boys as to why not every Pokémon should get an evolution.
I mean, Electabuzz and Magmar are already "complete" creatures, so adding more makes them.....ehhh.
Louder than God's revolver and twice as shiny.Electivire and Magmortar are fine, it's Rhyperior who didn't make sense to exist. They turned a cool, strong-looking rhinozillasaurus into a... stone potato!
For me, it's Lickilicky that gets me. Most of the added evolutions in Gen IV at least look suitably different to justify being an upgraded or more powerful form of their previous. Lickilicky is like they handed the art description for Lickitung to a grade schooler and went, "Draw this."
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I'm curious if anyone here dislikes Porygon-Z. I've never heard anyone say anything bad about it. Of course, I have nothing bad to say seeing as it's one of my favorites.

I usually see people pick Gen II as the best. The design aesthetic of Gen II Pokemon is very close to Gen I so people like them. Note
Another reason is the ability to go back to Kanto, a feature no other game has. Part of it might be Early-Installment Weirdness. They probably didn't expect Pokemon to become such a big hit, so perhaps they only planned to have Gen I with Gen II as a sequel, and stop there. I also saw it a necessity, though. Johto isn't very big of a region, so they needed to put Kanto along with it... or perhaps, Johto was specifically designed to be like this.
Although I lost interest in Pokemon while playing SSNote , I have to admit the HGSS games are well done.Note They have the original features updated, as well as new things: Pokéathlon (I wish they'd bring it back), Battle Frontier (granted it was the same as in Platinum), walking with your Pokemon (They need to bring this back, too). I just find Kanto/Johto dull and somewhat boring next to the other Gens, personally.
As far as I am concerned, my favourite Gen is III. Gold was entertaining, but Sapphire is what really got me into Pokemon. Hoenn is a great region with diverse topography. The plot may be simple to me now, but it felt like a really big thing back when I played it. The build up for the Legendary Pokemon fight was great, and with the remakes it might be the best one up to date. Gen III also brought a bunch of new stuff for the gameplay. Design wise, I love most of the Pokemon so I call Gen III my favourite, even though every Gen has it's fair share of Pokemon I love and Pokemon I dislike.
Objectively speaking though, I think every Gen has good and bad things to offer, so there is a nostalgia layer over Gen III whenever I call it my favourite. Plus, sometimes it's just easier to pick one Gen and call it my favourite than give a detailed answer of what I like and dislike in each Gen.

VI and IV are my favorites, they introduced most of my favorite Pokémon and they were the two generations that really got me hooked into the series.
As far as the Gen IV evolutions go, Gallade, Porygon-Z, Togekiss, Roserade and Froslass are some of my favorites. I like Electivire as well, but Magmortar and Rhyperior are... Eh.

The Kanto region will always have a special place in my heart, but as actual games go, I really like Gen VI - especially the sheer quantity of Pokemon available in XY, and the way the game design feels very polished.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Omega Ruby quickly became my favorite game in the series. So would that be Gen III or Gen VI?
Call me butter, because I am on a roll! 3ds friend code: 5258-0885-3903 Wii U: Bowser CharizardGen III, I'd say.
Ever noticed that all the really hated Gen IV evolutions are the big round ones? Rhyperior, Lickilicky, and now Magmortar. That's some discrimination right there. :P
Currently writing something. Currently procrastinating.I don't like Rhyperior or Lickilily either but i forgot to mention them.
Chances are if your favorite Pokemon game happens to be a remake then you're really a fan of the Gen the game is a remake of instead of the Gen the remake debuted in.
If people are talking about Gen IV evolutions, I really like Yanmega and Tangrowth.
However, I really hate Lickylicky and Rhyperior.
Also, if they were going to make a mega Electivire, they should make it Electric/Fighting.

what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseAgreed. Anyone know of anything I can do after I finish the Delta Episode in Omega Ruby. Something where I can level up my team?
"You can't swallow what I'm thinking!!"
And yet Aegislash still holds the title for only non-legendary non-mega to be banned to ubers for reasons besides a broken hidden ability. Granted, it was still an ability, just not a hidden one.
