It kinda bugs me that the Avengers really have nothing to do with avenging. Like, "revenge is bad" is kinda one of one of the core good guy tropes, and they are (basically) good guys. Really, they're more law enforcement than seekers or vengeance.

I've read the original Avengers comic, and apparently they chose that name simply because they liked the way it sounded.

I mean, you can say the same about most songs: we already know what the final chord is gonna be, so why not just play it now? It's not the destination that matters, but the journey.
(And I would argue that a good movie has it so that you legitimately don't know who'll win. Think of how The Empire Strikes Back ends.)

I think I've said this before but I'm really bad at listening to albums in order all the way through.
My attention span just sort of dies and it becomes background music and I force myself to get through it
