Alright, confess odd things.

For example, I'm jealous to my big brother becuase he discovered The Smiths first. Dammit, now I can't have a crush for Morrisey without feeling weird about it.

I'm guessing it's related to the Westermarck Effect—in that, you don't want to imagine your siblings in sexual situations due to the relationship you have with them being what it is.

Plus, I'm sure the incest taboo has something to do with it as well—people feel weird picturing those genetically related to them as sexual beings.

I'll confess to something a little rude here...

Sometimes, I comb the Fan Fiction pages here, the Fan Fic Tropes and Recommends and what people have laid up pages for fics for my fandoms... hoping to see more of my stuff. I want to be more fandom-famous than I am... or something!

I have a couple of stories I've made my own pages for because I just couldn't resist the itch to list the tropes in them for fun, but mostly, I want OTHER PEOPLE to find my fics, to trope-page them, to list them on examples of various Tropes. (I just finished a large Zombie Fic in a massive-crossover videogame fandom, hint, hint).

I'm even reluctant to even make my own profile page because I want OTHERS to describe my work.

I feel dumb browsing Tropes pages when looking up fanfics for this little nudge/desire.

This is going to sound arrogant as hell.

I take pride in my taste. I am firmly convinced that I have a good taste when it comes to media.

The problem is that there is no way to prove it, probably because there is no such thing as good or bad in tastes, just different.

The funny thing is I'm the exact opposite. I feel so strongly that my tastes are terrible that I've been trying to get people to fix them for the past 2 years. As far as I can tell, I'm the only one who feels this way, too. So that doesn't help.

I'm always confused by some Americans who think they're middle-class, yet seem to complain about how they have to take certain things from their cars, and can't afford any sort of heating.

In my British eyes, that just... doesn't match up.

[up]Things like air fresheners, or car oil or even a spare tank of petrol.

I've observed it from a few, but it's by no means a general thing at all.

I still don't understand. Like, they have an air freshener in their car, and then they remove it? Why would that even be something someone is complaining about? I'm even more confused now.

[up]This particular person complained she had to remove said air freshener incase it got stolen, and does the same with her spare fuel she keeps for emergencies, and car oil she keeps in it, in case they get stolen.

My odd confession: I liked the first Garfield movie. Garfield himself was fairly well written and in-character, and the fact that the strip canonized Jon and Liz being a couple has added some new flavor to the strip in my opinion.

I only have one pair of jeans with them, and one pair of shorts. I got really lucky, and they're still not as deep as men's pockets.

The idea of clothes without pockets blows my mind. I live out of my pockets. If I could get away with wearing webbing to carry my ever-present can of coke and maybe a sandwich, I totally would.

I always wear cargo pants because I rely on my pockets just that much. I had to get pockets on my pockets.

I actually usually wear pants with a lot of pockets, but I hardly use them.

Not actually owning anything can make it hard to find uses for half a dozen pockets.

I seem to have an ability/curse for gut-wrenching myself in pain for people I barely know and people I learn of but never met. Is it odd that I wrack myself up over it?
