Watch the first episode, he's calling Yoshi an idiot and hitting him on the head, and in the very next scene, Yoshi is sitting outside crying. How is that not abuse?
Anyway, my question is, for those of you who have seen the rest of the series, are we supposed to consider Yoshi's Grandpa a good guy? Because if so, I'm not interested in watching it.

He is not a Villain, if that's what you are thinking. He is just a grouchy Grandpa obsessed about lineage and that bloody sign on their palm (the Honin)

Incidentally, I am not so much happy about seeing the founder as I was of finally seeing Masamori. Call me weird, but I personally think Masamori is the most Bad Ass character of the story.
But seeing Hazama surrounded by Bishie Sparkle was worth it
