Lars being at #2 is probably the most puzzling. From the way I've heard it, him and Alisa were something of Base Breakers.
But Base Breakers are by definition characters that are hated by a lot of people and loved by a lot of people. It's not that contradictory that Lars and Alisa are that popular and hated as there is a difference between being unpopular and hated(the latter is not the anthesis of being loved by a lot of people)

Eh. A lot of people have hate for characters that they can't pinpoint for any discernible reason. (shrugs) It happens. I like Asuka (and Jun for that matter, so I'm not labeling her niece as a Replacement Scrappy), but I'm well aware that there are those out there who don't.

In Tekken 5 I was mainly annoyed by her cheapness. Now that I've learned to get around that cheapness, I'm basically okay with her.

Yeah, everyone has a character like that. Mine (aside of the uber-cheapness that is Jinpachi)... was Dr. B. It's always more enjoyable than frustrating, though.

I always wished Namco would of played up Asuka and Jin being cousins more. The most interaction the two of have had so far is Jin sitting in her cleavage in a non-canon ending.

Well she did spend the King of Iron Fist tournament 6 trying to find him to put a stop to his "evil" ways (this was after she found out they were related). What and what wasn't canon won't be revealed until Tekken 7, but I'm guessing she simply never got into contact with him.

It is odd than Jun never bothered to have Jin at least meet his relatives and instead raised him by herself. It would've made more sense for Jun to tell Jin to go find his uncle and Asuka than Heihachi.

I really don't think anyone really cares for the guy. Probably because of storyline reasons. I mean, we all know that he made it into SFxT piggybacking off of King's popularity.
