Inuyasha was originally planned for Toonami, but they shifted it to Adult Swim due to the violence.

Eh, Inuyasha is more people screaming their names whilst somebody else falls off a cliff than actual violence.

Seriously Feudal Japan in Inuyasha seems to be half canyon.

Why would someone mistake this news for relating to the US's Cartoon Network? Why is this PMG not making it any clearer to fans?!

To the person who asked if there was any news related to CN US on that page, it does say that Dexters Laboratory returned to US broadcast on November 8th, and sure enough, it did.

Adult Swim used to be called Toonami Midnight Run.

Uhhh no. Adult Swim has always been Adult Swim. You can claim that Midnight Run inspired AS to be created, but it's just as likely that Adult Swim was (and it is) it's own original idea.

Well according to wikipedia and answer is a little of both. Midnight Run's success motivated the people at Cartoon Network to create a more mature late night programing block. But also a lot of shows that were on Adult Swim debuted on Midnight Run.

^ Well, we won't know until January 8th, now will we?

Though, it seems this facebook page is actually the Saudi Arabia CN page, which just happens to report on what happens in all C Ns around the world. the US version has it's own facebook page.

Oh.

Then this whole thread is pointless and should be locked.

All you had to do was say it was a fan page in your first of your three posts. No need to freak out.

But no one listened, because we didn't have clear enough proof.

It was good news concerning Cartoon Network and anime, so of course it couldn't be true.

I doubt CN is smart enough to see how great Toonami was.

If it does by some miracle come back, they should probably do a showing of Gundam 00 and Gundam Unicorn.

Gundam was one of the biggest parts of Toonami.

My other signature is a Gundam.

The only way CN would officially get Toonami back was if they had a change in executives, or if anime started becoming profitable again. That just won't happen in this economy.

Sucks finding old news filled with hope and what not.
