Whether or not you think he's a hero or a villain, this guy was fucking Badass.

I knew he was a hero the moment he jumped out of that crashing airship, in a suit of Powered Armor, WHILE ON FIRE.

I embarrassed my friend by cheering for him in the theatre. His badassery is inspiring!

My neice also totally doesn't get this. "He's such a hardcore badass!" "...but he's the bad guy." "But he's wicked awesome!" "But... he's the bad guy." "DUDE. HE DIDN'T CARE HE WAS ON FIRE. And his lungs can process badass in place of air!" "...but he's the BAD GUY." And so on.

I think you need to try and explain to her that not all Bad Asses are good guys, and, if you manage to convince her that he's the hero, that Good Is Not Nice.

I am so vastly tired of hearing about this movie.

I will keep my soul in a place out of sight, Far off, where the pulse of it is not heard.

Aw, don't worry, Norn, this will be one of the things that some of the more stubborn stupid nerdishly furious vocal of us will keep remembering.

I for one haven't heard of this movie much for a few months. But Quadritch was definitely one of my favourite parts. We should have him in the 40k/Starwars/Bleach/Enders Game/Starship Troopers/Aliens crossover.

No wait, there was someone here writing a similar crossover, but I don't remember the exact series involved...

As much as I agree with the fan sentiment, I kinda have to agree with Norn.

Boring movie was boring.

piccorotto, during that scene, my friend whispered "For the Emprah!" in my ear.

Other than that, I mostly agree with Norn. If we're going to talk about this, can we at least use the Films thread, so the people who want to avoid it can?

I agree, Quaritch was the goddamn man. He should have been the main character, not that stupid dildo Jake Sully.

Zersk is writing a Halo/Avatar/40k crossover.

Yej, why? The film thread is about everything in the movie, not just one part. And, besides, the thread title here makes it clear what the subject is, so those with no interest in it can pass it over if they so desire.

It's not, after all, like one has to read every thread, or that there's umpteen zillion separate threads on the subject (movie or character) clogging up the forums.

Quaritch knows the meaning of fear, it's something that happens to other people.

And yeah: don't like, don't read.

An useless name, a forsaken connection.

Saving grace of the whole damn flick. He would almost make it worth seeing again.

He wasn't even a bad guy. He was trying to save the people on Earth. In a totally awesome way.
