So apparently it is GOTY-good? Huh, maybe it will win me over.
So is it safe to say that this is one of the best examples of No Problem With Licensed Games?
Yes, to both questions.
And again, it's not really a licensed game any more than, say, Knights Of The Old Republic. It's an EU work.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."VGA credibility aside, the fact that The Walking Dead not only stood alongside juggernauts such as Mass Effect 3 and Assassin's Creed 3 but beat them in an official event is something noteworthy. I think it also won 3 other awards too.
#IceBearForPresidentMan, not since Goldeneye, Escape From Butcher Bay, and Arkham City have I seen a licensed game earn such high praise.
This game must truly be something else.
It's a great game. Buy it already I think I liked it more than Assassins Creed 3 but they're hard to compare.
x2 Alright, now I get the feeling you're just ignoring me.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I mean, it's is a licensed game. They've paid to use someone else's IP. That the content is a significant departure from previously explored material isn't here nor there.
This post has been powered by avenging fury and a balanced diet. The problem, though, is that no one (in my experience at least) ever calls EU books, or comics, or audio dramas "licensed."
So why should an EU game be called licensed?
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Nicknacks explained why. Granted yeah, calling a piece of EU a licensed product is redundant.
#IceBearForPresidentI find Expanded Universe to be a more problematic phrase in general. When you apply it to things like Doctor Who, or Sherlock Holmes, or even The Walking Dead it becomes problematic.

Good, I won't have to burn Spike's HQ down.
A friendly flower, and your best friend. He has a knack for funny faces.Although it's meant to be "Canon" with the comics. Expanded Universe stuff isn't meant to be usually.....
DumboI hope they don't pull that your decisions don't matter BS in season 2.
Well, most people you interacted with are dead or gone. If we see Clementine, Christa or Omid again there might be different conversations or dialogue choices, but I don't think it will go farther than that.
I'd rather they picked a canon first season run. Trying to propagate choices between titles just leads to problems and disappointment.
This post has been powered by avenging fury and a balanced diet.I wonder... Who's going to be season two's protagonist? Clementine is the most obvious choice, but because of that I think she's also the least likely to be chosen. This IS Telltale, we're talking about after all.
A friendly flower, and your best friend. He has a knack for funny faces.I'm guessing it will be an entirely new character, and the game won't be centered around protecting Clementine.
Probably. But you know, curve-balls still happen.
A lot.
Episode three, I'm looking at you.
A friendly flower, and your best friend. He has a knack for funny faces. You know those achievement problems I mentioned way back when? It turns out it's because Microsoft didn't update Live in time for most episode's releases. If your achievements are borked then the solution is to recover your Gamertag and re-unlock the problem ones. If your achievements are fine, or you don't care about cheevos, then nothing to worry about.

#IceBearForPresidentIs this considered Telltale's magnum opus? Everywhere I go, gigantic praise is showered over the game's moral ambiguity, and stuffz.
If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked.Yeah, nothing they've done before has garnered a fraction of the attention.
DumboEven though they're all fairly good.
Except for the Jurassic Park game.
But we don't talk about that one.

It's not worth much for the game itself.
But it definitely redeemed the show in my eyes, or at least made me think slightly higher of it.
