Upon entering a partnership with The Omega while also intenting to wipe the Oni out afterwards, The Overlord corrupts Kai into his puppet and has him infiltrate the Newspaper Warehouse in order to infect all of the other Ninja. Once Kai tries to fight back against his corruption, The Overlord causes a "full-system overload" of Kai's nerve system to keep him under control. When The Omega's attempt to convince Lloyd to join the Oni fails, The Overlord reveals that he wasn't intending on upholding his side of the bargain and attempts to kill him alongside Lloyd before being defeated by the Ninja once more.

• Jujutsu Kaisen:
  • Hajime Kashimo's reputation within the fandom took a massive nose dive after he didn't even last two chapters against Sukuna before being killed off, despite all the hype he has gotten. And to make things worse, other characters like Yuji, Yuta, Maki, and even Higurama all got good showings against Sukuna as the fight progressed, which just made Kashimo's performance look even worse by comparison. As a result of his poor performance, several jokes were spawned about him that stated that he only became the strongest of the Edo period because he solely fought against farmers doing jujutsu as a hobby and referring to him as a waffle in reference to his fate of being cleaved into square cubes by Sukuna, alongside memes inexplisably portraying him as a femboy.

• Belated Injury Realization: In "Goro's Walk", Goro Akechi tells a story about not picking up on social cues. He's walking about and gets hit up by Joker for money. Akechi says he doesn't have any money and Joker says "[he] has a knife." Akechi thinks Joker is offering him a knife. It's only when Akechi gets home that he realizes he was being robbed, with the camera turning to show he was stabbed. Once he finishes his story, he drops dead.

Styx searches for Heartstones which would give her power to become god, sending Spider Guild on Earth to destroy city on kidnap thousands of people in search for one Heartstone. She manipulates hosts of stones in freeing her and becoming heart for her new body as she almost absorbs whole universe. Styx is revelated to have infected Animal Man with virus that turns infected into her violent worshipers to continue her work in case she is defeated. She returns to continue her crusade, razing planet Kranaltine and enslaving its people.

  • Implausible Hair Color: During the trailer, an unnamed character with bright pink hair appears. However, it's quite clear from her appearance that she's not exactly human, being either a robot or some kind of cyborg.
