Random comment: Cross Channel remains the only thing I can think of that I pretend ends in a different manner. Rereading it because it's awesome, but I think I'll skip the ending so I can maintain my delusion better.
^ Downer Ending? In what form? Diabolus ex Machina? Wall Banger? Kill Em All?
Please describe it with generic terms in spoiler tags, I'm curious.
Bittersweet ending. To avoid spoilers, I'll just say that I find Taichi to be a huge woobie and wish the ending was happier for him.
Clarification: It's not a bad ending, I just find it depressing in a way that most stories can't make me feel.

Then I will probably check it out.
Just so you know, you might not agree with my opinion of Taichi. He can be a little... disturbing. Cross Channel is rather good, though.
Cool, new forum.
Anyway, anyone else think that Suzumiya Haruhi would make for a good visual novel? Unless it's already been done, but... it'd be pretty cool, no?
Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about.I think it'd make a decent VN... if done properly. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure they'd stick a bunch of dating sim elements into it. I'll pass.
Which is exactly what Yuki did in Haruhi-chan.
My FF.net accountAs a real game, that'd be pretty awful.
Also, Mapi. I've noticed that people seem to recommend you read or watch a lot of stuff. Therefore, I say unto you: You should check out Sharin No Kuni.
My current VN queue is Tsukihime then Aoi Shiro. I'll get to that...eventually.
My FF.net accountArha: Ohmygod. Someone else that's played Sharin No Kuni. I practically made the page for that game.
Ecstasy is Sustained IntensityHeh, I didn't want to make the page, so I just created about a dozen redlinks for it. I knew someone would have to make a page for it.
I didn't make the page, but what was already there was complete and total crap. I completely remastered it.
It's one of the few pages I've actually seriously worked on.
But anyways. I liked the game bunches. My only qualm was that there isn't really any replay value.
Ecstasy is Sustained IntensityI'm thinking of making a seperate page for the Ef anime and the Ef VN since the plot diverges in a lot of places.
^^ It's a kind of a pity there's really only one route, yeah. Still, at least if they ever adapt it into an anime they can't pick a boring route. I wouldn't even mind the fact that Natsumi would surely be the main heroine since it doesn't really change anything!
^ Normally I'd say that's wasted effort, but there are a lot of details that are different. Like with Chihiro and... whatsisface, the guy who takes the place of Kyousuke in the second half of the game.
God, the first two girls don't even begin to compare to Natsumi and Ririko.
And I think it would translate to anime very well. Just a matter of time, probably.

Ecstasy is Sustained IntensityEdit: Woops.

Oy, Solstace. Bad spoilers in that post.
Ah, forgot about that.
Ecstasy is Sustained IntensityAnyway, yeah. I like Sachi and Touka quite a bit more than Natsumi, but they don't make nearly as good of heroines. And the game is about as subtle as Clannad in letting you know that Natsumi is the real heroine. Not that I dislike her, she's just a little boring. Ririko is awesome though.

I liked Natsumi, save for the fact that really, her arc is slow and repetitive up until the reveal.
And I just remembered how fond I was of the art style. Everything was so devilishly adorable >.>
Ecstasy is Sustained IntensityExactly. For me, that made her a good heroine but a poor character. Or something.
I feel like I should check out the spinoff thing that's about Houzuki, but I never did get around to that. Possibly because it doesn't seem like they translated everything.
Isn't it sad, Kappei? Alright, Clannad it is.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...
