To add to the austerity, The Tiger 3's (E 75) upper front plate is a troll to whoever I'm facing: it can bounce an IS-8 and ST-1 shells at point blank range. Yes, I fought both of them at the same time, earned a Steel Wall, killed Stalin's tank (which was almost dead since I was camping as usual), and the ST-1 was a victim of a allied sniper. Now if I got the 2nd turret, it should be invincible from the front, save for the top hatch.

With the VK 36.01 H it was the opposite, despite me contributing nothing of value. That thing is slow, squishy and has a terrible first gun that can't even hurt a Tier 5 artillery.

Win rate is luck based with small sample sizes anyway. And dependent on the tank. I have a 51% win chance with the Stu G and a 42% chance with the Jagdpanzer 4. Either the players are just that much better at that level or the Jagdpanzer 4 is subpar compared to its tier. Probably both.

I actually killed a Elephant with the VK 36.01H, via a side shot. But yeah, the Jad Panzer 4 is only good with the rapid-firing 88, my "Hunting Panther" is in pretty much the sme condition I brought it: top radio, upgraded tracks, and a kickass 88.

Wait a minute, what gun are you using with the proto-Tiger anyways? That thing can pen whatever it sees the VK 30.01H's highest pen gun (from it's toolbox of somewhat mediocre guns).

The stock gun. I haven't progressed much as I'm more focused on the TD-line. And since I can't contribute much I make only a few XP per battle.

Most of my defeats in the ARL V39 were where I did 1k+ damage. Most of my wins (and there's not much actually) were where tier 7/8s easily kills me, or arty one-shots me.

Win rate is part of why I barely play the game anymore. Realistically, it'll only get worse. Hey, I mean one person can apparently win the match entirely by themselves, so of course I can be the sole cause for defeat on my team. And we have such useful mods that let people preemptively scream at me before we've even started.

It's like I'm retiring at 5th worse on any given team rather than the worst.

C'mon guys, owning up to being a potato isn't shameful — happens even to the best of players. Denying being a tomato however, is just not right. In the end, the common denominator in the matches is you. Play like a retard, you'll likely get more losses than wins. As simple as that.

Of course, we all can't be like Lanterne Rouge, able to clutch victory despite being outnumbered at one point 4 to 1...

Which is why I'm barely playing anymore if I'm the reason 14 people lose nearly every game I'm in.

I try my best. Which is garbage.

I've actually been playing my artillery more than anything else recently, which is about a game a week or so. Because honestly, that thing wouldn't factor into us winning a game if the entire enemy team moved in a tight herd and announced their location for my benefit.

eh, winrate's part luck no matter what anyone says.

the funny thing is most people talking about winrate rarely, if ever, play outside platoons, and usually 3 man platoons at that.

Was in a plat earlier. Me with 50% W/R, plus someone with 57% W/R, and another with a 52% W/R. We only played two games...but we lost both.

Except the sample replays I share from the people I know are all solopubs. It would be still disingenuous of you to still ignore these.

And yes, I've actually had the pleasure of platooning with these guys during bad days. They're legit.

Of course there's also crew skills and such of which I have nothing.

15 games with the J Panther; WR 27%. I don't think this will get any better soon.

Some guys are certainly good but there's more than a few out there that live in platoons to keep it up.

Having a good rating does take effort and being a good player makes an effect but the unicum guys are generally big on platoons to keep it even higher.

You should see my record on the Type 61. Sure its generally regarded as a hard-to-carry tank (especially given how it has negative camo and no armor), but my sub-40% in it still galls me.

As for not having skills in a Jagd, my own experience and advice from fellow blueberries point to filling out at least a skill and a half (so 100% in one, maybe 50% in the next) in your crews before going up tier 6-7. Just having a full set of perks or skills help immensely.

That advice also sort of wraps up another more general piece of advice: don't rush up the trees. I know everyone wants their shiny Tier 10s, but taking the time to get the know the game before moving up the tiers is absolutely essential.

Also, the Conqueror is one of the worst stock experiences I've ever had. A Tier 9 heavy with an 83mm gun? No thank you.

This is what happens when you play peek-a-boom with my Tiger 3. My tip of the day, it's better to tag team a heavily armored tank from opposing directions rather than chipping the paint of my upper glacis plate if this replay proves anything...

In opposition of my of my aggressive playstyle, I just got my first Defender today.

I think I'm in love with the Jagdpanther now. The 88mmL/71 gun kicks ass. I make a lot of money in that thing too. And it looks cool.

Should I try out the derp gun as well?

The 105mm on the Jagdpanther? It's by no means a derp gun. I've seen arguments either way for the 88mm vs. the 105mm. 88mm has the better DPM, accuracy and pen, but the 105 gets the better alpha and aiming time, so it's really a matter of preference. I went with the 105 personally because I liked the extra punchy-ness against the very small reduction in penetration.

I tried it out. It is slightly better but boy is it a credit sink. Killing two enemies and surviving and I still made a 300 credit loss. O_o I'm constantly in the range of -3000 to 3000 credits per game with this gun, whereas I was in the 10000-20000 credit range with the 88mmL/71.

The KV-1S is getting split into two vehicles. There will be a tier 5, still called the KV-1S, with I believe an 85mm gun as the top, and the KV-85 as the tier 6 with the same 122mm gun as the top. The KV-85 will still be a fairly significant step down from the current KV-1S, as it was determined to be over-performing. So, for instance, where the KV-1S currently gets a frankly ridiculous -8 degrees gun depression, the KV-85 will get a much more difficult -3.
