However, Nier protagonists don't have an endgame for salvaging what's left of the world, and there are more casual NPC interactions to get you attached to the people. I think in Dark Souls, you can at least keep mankind from dying off, pretty much all by yourself.

True. Though, Dark Souls is the kinda story where it's not so much stopping the end of all we know so much as it is staving it off for a while.

Nier is about actively causing the end of the world, tho.

but HOW?

Well Nier doesn't really dwell on that at all, focusing more on the personal stories.

This is relevant to our interests.

Now, this is an impressive looking scene. However it's just one scene and Cage's previous games have had good scenes in the past. Having one good scene does not mean the entire game is good. Also, it looks like we'll have two player characters in this, so the story may have trouble focusing, especially if they add more player characters.

In episode 2 of Nier the guys said they would 100% the entire game and grab all four endings. This makes me glad, because there are two big twists in the game, you'll know them when you see them, and I'm glad we'll be able to see Pat's reaction to both of them.

Wow. I hope they do most of that offscreen, because IIRC the last ending requires ridiculous level grinding?

edit: Nevermind, it's just a bit of a collection quest to get the latter endings.

[up][up] What're the odds of creepy robo-sex happening?

I don't doubt that some people actually use their androids for that purpose.

Which would be super creepy in a reality where the androids can think and percieve as well as the ones in that trailer.

(so of course people would do it. Human history is dark)

For those who don't know, Koji Igarashi, the guy who made all those Franchise/Metroid style Franchise/Castlevania games, has kickstarted a new game called Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, with David Hayter as the main bad guy and the guy who played Alucard in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night as- actually I don't know who he plays, but I do know he's in there somewhere. Now Matt and Liam are covering the E3 Demo.

I'm personally wondering when they'll post the RE 7 video XD I imagine it'll be something like the PT demo.

I wonder what was the creator of Age of Barbarian was thinking when he made these games?

I watch all the videos the Best Friends put out, but I don't listen to the podcast. Do they read fanmail on the podcast?

Listen to the podcast, it's hilarious a lot of the time.

You may have to marathon it though.

The bits about "post-apocalyptic T-pose culture" and Metal Gear Solid: MCU vs DCCU edition remain some of my favorite podcast moments.

Or the one with Maddentown.

Or the one where they read back their worst podcast titles.

Or the one with Hulk Hogan getting erased from reality, which doubles as the one with the STRONGEST STAND OF THEM ALL.

[down]What did you think I meant when I said STRONGEST?
